Arvanite, Vlach and Slavonic peoples were the main ethnic groups of "Greece" that is the area South of Thessaly. Nowadays of course, the majority are Ottoman Chrisitian immigrants and refugees. Athens (half of Greece) is basically a new city of various Ottoman Chrisitian groups who have been given Greek names, adopted the Greek language and have Greek citizenship/nationality.
