On the 5th of April the first round of the GKR Karate International qualifying round for the 2009 World Cup was held in the Maroondah Indoor Sports Center - Ringwood. The first Victorian tournament for the year has shown that Pece Naumovski has trained hard and has exceeded the level of fitness from the previous year where he became Australian champion for the second time, the first was in 2006 when he first started karate and in the following year in 2007 he became the karate world champion. But Pece has come a long way since then and his fighting style has changed to incorporate different styles of karate and taekwondo, although he is still true to his original style Go Kan Ryu this has enabled him to fuse moves and to elevate his skill level that has paid off. Winning Gold in Kata (Movements) and Gold in Sparing (Fighting) he has more than qualified for the World Cup which will be held in Melbourne.
Pece wishes everyone on the MakNews forum and to all the readers a happy Easter, srejken Veligden.
