If you have noticed, I never use Greek historians to quote. I agree that Greek Historiography contains exaggerations and lies, but this happens ta ALL Balkan states. In the introduction of almost all books on the Balkans by foreigners, you see the warning:
"Do not trust the local books, they are highly biased"
AND THEY SPEAK ABOUT ALL, BULGARIANS, GREEKS, TURKS etc. Now MACEDONIANS entered the "club", too !!
So I have searched and collected a series of foreign books on the Balkans in order to dreaw conclusions, and I present their views.

My dear lady, cannot you understand how over-exaggerated the stories of these people are ?
And, why don't you try to find your brothers in Bulgaria ?

Αντί να συμπεριφέρεσαι σαν κατακτητής, γιατί δεν προσπαθείς να μάθεις την πραγματική ιστορία της Μακεδονίας και να παπαγαλίζεις την Ελληνική κρατική προπαγάνδα;
I don't. Greece officially DOES NOT recognise any Macedonian minority : BUT I DO, AND INSIST ON NEXT MORNING CENCUS ABOUT THAT. Does this seem "parroting State propaganda" ?

Και τι γίνανε όλοι αυτοί οι Έλληνες Μακεδόνες, που ήταν εδώ πριν το 1912;
They are here, around you. I know a lot of people who are indigenous Greeks, especially from Kozani, Grevena, Katerini, Serres, Drama etc. Don't tell me you DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THEM ?

Θα παραμείνω υπερήφανη Μακεντονκα,
I agree to this right of yours. As I said, next morning cencus. Why repeat that to ME ? Tell it to the fanatic Bishop Anthimos ....

να ακούω μόνο Καζαντζίδη και Νταλάρα,
Here I agree absolutely !
I am not very fond of Dalaras, but I hate Kazantzidis. He had an excellent voice and wasted it to silly songs.
By the way, if I were to choose songs for the radio, it would be a surprise to you :
I am very fond of Russian Folk Music (Ruska Narodna Musika), and I would have dedicated at least -1- hour to such songs.
I do like some very fast Bulgarian folk songs I heard in Bulgaria. I do not know what the Macedonian songs sound like : I suspect they are more or less like the Greek Macedonian or the Serbian. Correct me if I am wrong.
