For those who ask for proof of Bulgaria's mistreatment of Macedonians here it is. Denying ethnic Macedonians existance is past mistreatment. The category it falls in is evil.

I do not see Bugaromancheta here. Only comunistcheta suffering from incurable yugoslovenizatsiya.

My reply comes with s small delay because I can not be online 24/7 in contrast to some forumers and today had a lot of important things to do. The excerpt from the book is based on real facts but some details are "a way" untrue. The Bulgarian natality has been on decline since 1954 till the mid 90's(more than 50 years) because the communists thought that the high birth rate prevents them from achieving better economic performance. Therefore they focused on the urbanisation and obviously the families can not have 5 children in a 70sq.m. flat.

1. There had never ever been Romanians in Bulgaria because Romania is a new nation which appeared on the maps after the Unification of Wallachia and Moldova. There are/were 10-15.000 Vlachs in Bulgaria who are not and can not be considered as Romanians because they do not have Romanian identity and do not speak Romanian language.

2. 168k ethnic Macedonians in Bulgaria sounds ridiculously but even if they were that many, this would be only 1/2 of Pirin's population and very small % number compared to the Macedonian Bulgarians.

3. >Turkish-Muslim' problem< Here is the key. The Muslims in Bulgaria had higher standard than their compatriots from Anatolia and had the same rights as the ethnic Bulgarians until Turkey try to play her dirty games. In the 1980's there were several terrorist acts in Bulgaria, organised by Turkish spies, which killed civil people and were intended to promote the idea: "all Muslims are Turks". The Bulgarian response were the so called Revival Process when all Muslims were granted pro-Bulgarian, Slavic and Christian names. We have a good saying for such occasions: "S tehnite kamani po tyahnaha glava." Translation needed?

3.1. Turkish schools in Bulgaria got closed.... What the.... Last of them were closed shortly after the Balkan wars. This is a pure lie.

3.2. The statements about the mosques are wrong too. During the communism even the Orthodox population was persecuting for attending religious churches, so it is not true that the mosques were closed in the 1980's. Atheism was the only "spiritual" culture promoted by the commies. Pressure by the Arabs?!? LOL Are we talking about the same people who lived in huts before the large oil fields were discovered? What pressure? As far as the mosque in Sofia is concerned, it used to had been a museum and was not demolished or converted in to church because Bulgaria and Turkey signed an agreement the mosque in the centre of Sofia to be protected by the Bulgarian officials and the Bulgarian churches in Istanbul and Adrianopole to stay churches.

4. Greeks in Bulgaria? It would be more difficult for the communists to find Greeks than to convert them to Orthodoxy :)

5. Only the Muslims names were changed. The names of Jews and Armenians who are the biggest non-Muslim minorities were not even touch. Etien Levi, Kevork Kevorkyan, Vili Kazasyan, Hilda Kazasyan and so on.

Taking counter measures against the baby-making time-bomb is a bad thing only in Macedonian. In a national state as Bulgaria is, such measures are not useful but necessary when we have internal processes endangering the peaceful existence of the future generation or the territorial integrity of the country. Despite the constant critics in Macedonia against Bulgaria the Macedonian politicians always repeat the mistakes of their Bulgarian colleagues. The few good decisions which more or less had a positive effect on the national safety are the only ones which the Macedonia authorities runs from.

If God is still with us and forgive our nation that so many people lost faith, just see what is going to happen after the election in June.
Amen!

Actually, when I said bugaromanche, I wasn't referring to you, but as we say, "nekoj si ja ima muvata na kupata"...

Let's face it, Bulgaria is a country on par with modern "greece" for human rights violations.
