Buktop,

Glushec is mouse.
Staorec is rat.

Otrov za gluvci can be for both, since it usually works for both.

Odberi is more like to choose,
Izberi is more like to elect.

Maknews, the examples that you gave are correctly written as two words (although they are pronounced as one, and that is called "accent unit" akcentska celost):

Odberi
Odberi gi
Odberi mi
Odberi mu

So they don't qualify for "cases". Cases are when the noun changes its form. For example:

Macedonian: Piperka, so Piperka, do piperka
Serbian: Paprika, PaprikOM, do papriKE.
