Most of the Macedonians must have heard of that saying. It's similar with the Macedonian Sayings topic, but it's more prophetic related.

I find some that are about true. I will write them in Macedonian, since i don't know how to do em correctly in English, someone may translate them correctly.

There are 3 of them, which i actualy remember now.

1)Ako mislis na nesto, i pritoa kivnes, a ne si nastinat ili bolen toa znaci :
-Ona sto si go pomislil se sluchilo ( E vistina )
-Toa sto go mislis se slucuva (E vistina)
-Toa sto go pomisli, ke se sluci (Ke bide vistina)

Maybe is just coincidence, but it happens alot to me

2)Dokolku te chesha nosot, ako go pocheshash gledajki vo nekoj, ke se iskarash/imash kavga, raspravija so taa lichnost.

Maybe this is coincidence too, but since i start realizing that it may be true, koa si go chesham nosot, gleam na strana

3)Ako te chesha levata raka, ke dobiesh neshto. Dokolku toa e desnata, neshto ke dadesh. (Vo skoro vreme)

There are a lot more which i used to know, but i don't remember them correctly.

What about your expiriences with those devetini? Do you know any? Do you believe in any?

I was told not to whistle at night.....i forget the reasoning behind it.

You should never wash your hair on good friday or you will have headaches all year.

what about the superstition of spitting at the trunk of trees at night. I don't know the consequences of not doing it

You must have misheard it.

You will make the elfs mad, so they will harm you in some possible way

If one of your ears is ringing you ask someone near you to guess whether it's the left or right one.

-if they guess right someone is talking about you favorably.

-if they guess wrong someone is talking about you unfavorably.

^ same thing with itching eyes and people looking at you.

^^ same thing with itching palms.. Left means you will lose money, right means you will receive money.

Don't walk under tree's at night, a Ghost will follow you home.

Don't take a piss outside at midnight or shadows/ghosts will follow you.

If you see a dead animal you must pull your hair/spit 3 times/both.

Don't cut the trees in the cemetery or the dead will put a curse on you.

Never harm an animal for sport because God is in the animals and he will have retribution upon you.

if a dog howls someone in the family will die.

OMG I still do this, shit.

If you touch your neck you need to bloe into ur fingers otherwise you will have big 'gusha'. I do that as well.
