Thanks Paul. His book sounds interesting. I think I can utilize it on this particular topic.

Some modern "greek" confusion in the mid-19th century about identity and further political use of 'Hellenism' in dualist forms. Also read about how Bavarian King Ludwig obsessed with antiquity and how his son Otto fulfilled his dream of being the King of "greece".

"A people without history" is probably the most accurate thing said about modern "greece" :lol .

This next piece is really eye opening considering the time it was written. I implore the reader to read everything, not just what I underline.
Modern "greece" The Spoilt Child Of Europe.

Maknews I am glad to be spreading the word. I hope people really take into consideration everything they read and to form their own opinions and better yet research this specific area themselves. That way they see that Macedonia is in the position it is in today because of what racists and dreamers of the not so distant past did in creating modern "greece" and the modern "greek". Ultimately to find the truth of why we are denied our God given right to identity we need to examine modern "greece's" creation by western philhellenes.

It seems that Metaxas ideology still reigns in modern "greece".
