Hey MKD,
We need to decide on an artistic feel. The animations should melt into the website. I got no probs with the animations, can even do them in 3D
I think nice voice overs will be needed, possibly female?
I was thinking that the artistic feel should be bright, bubbly, bold and colourful. That is the trend i've noticed with the most successfull figures in children's entertainment such as Hi Five, the Wiggles etc. As a rough guide, here are a few websites that have the kind of artistic feel i am thinking of.
http://www.thewiggles.com.au/playground ... y.asp?ID=1 (they have some very good educational games, especially counting and the alphabet)
http://abc.net.au/children/bananas/
http://abc.net.au/children/ (note that having a kid doing some of the voice overs is a great idea)
What do you guys think? Are there any other suggestions or examples of what you guys like?
Volk, what's the best format to hand the graphics to you as? I am thinking of initially handing you a bitmap or a jpeg and for you to convert it to the vector images required for flash animations. Once you have converted the images, i'll see if i can learn how to draw up the images directly as vector drawings and send them to you in that format from then on. Does this sound ok to you? 3D sounds impressive. If it's a great deal of extra work, i think that 2D is extremely effective too.
For the letter A, here are the words that were listed in my bukvar:
Ана (girl's name)
ананас (pinapple)
авион (aeroplane)
антена (antenna)
автобус (bus)
Does anyone have any more suggestions as to which simple objects/words can be included on the "A bukva" page?
