I was trying to explain the possibility of people from Bitola saying both puli and gladaj while people from Lerin only use puli. My wife is Serb and they say gledaj and vidi

Plachki means clothes nothing else. What you are telling me (soberi si gi plachkite) is a saying of some sort. But it doesn't change the fact that plachki really means clothes.

Hey selanets, were you comparing the words I listed with words from your dialect, or from standard Macedonian?

We say both vidi and puli, but not gleda(j). Clothes = plachki. "Ne (g)i vidu plachkite vo sirtaro(t)" - I didn't see the clothes in the drawer. "Ne (g)i pulam plachkite vo sirtaro(t) - I don't see the clothes in the drawer."
I think that the literary Macedonian word for clothes is "obleka".
*The Shiptars use the word Sirtar as well :oo

literary word for Clothes is Alista (ah-lee-shta), Obleka means Formal Clothing more for a woman her Dress and or Material and Cloth.

we say placki for everything usually a mess or a bundle of things on the ground, for instance you tell your kid " odi soberigi plackite vo sobota" clean the mess in your room, you will never say "odi soberi plackiti od vrteskata" you would say "odi soberi alistata od vrteskata" "get the clothes of the clothes line"

We say it the opposite of you - "oi soberigi plachkite od v'rtaloto ke doi dosh" we would never say "oi soberigi alishchata od v'rtaloto..."

Once you get them off the line you say, "plachkite gi diplam..."

If you are originally from Aegean Macedonia, but you don't live there now, you can still record youself. Your dialect IS from Aegean Macedonia. If you have some accent, that's not a problem also.

Just do it. Use the computer, mp3 player (most have recording abilities), a camera, whaterver. Ask for technical assistence if you need it.

As promised, I recorded my Bufski dialect and uploaded it to Youtube. It is a short 30 second clip of me talking with my Canadian accent. I included the text in both Latinica and Kirilica, but no English translation - there is a small fee for that

Yep, k'rtuli is "literary" Bufchanski.

Somtimes they are called kompiri or krompiri.

What I found interesting is that Buf Boy says "yas" instead of "yaska" and "fala" instead of "spolaiti".

Egri is similar to Buf Lazets dialects. LOL @ the Lazhets extending of every single word.

"Yas" and "Yaska" are both used by my family, and I said "Fala" at the end for the Maks from VM. I was born in Canada and my folks have lived here for many years now. They used to say "spolaiti" in Buf, but not anymore. Maybe I should have gotten script approval by my folks
