Geez you guys have been busy :D I only just got back from the 1904 with Tito, Chichko Doc, and Bato Marty. Tito was bragging about all these Macedonian girls wanting to get into his car :lol (we know who these girls are :hi ) so when I asked Tito what we were going to do he said "We becoming journalist to spite grcija i boogaria". I pretty much knew what was coming after that :D And so we went Back To The Future to 1904 to write in the New York Post;

Tito is the greatest hero Macedonia has ever had. At the next Maknews poll for the "Greatest Macedonian Of All Time" I promised him that he would be included and that he might even beat out Aleksander Makedonski :lol Yeah he's not Macedonian but just look at the impact he's had on our history ;)

It's patently clear that Tito did NOT invent Macedonians.

Yes, he did! ;)

Look here, Tito even draw a cartoon in the 1903 edition of the Berlin monthly "Lustige Baltter" to prove a point!

What talented guy!

Damn you ladies got Tito on a roll :lol Well Tito must've been bored tonight because he woke me up to invent more Macedonians. This guy is relentless. He wouldn't shut-up about Milkas legs either :lol
So Tito, me, chichko Doc, and bato Marty jumped in the delorean and Tito revved up the engine and popped in a cassette tape and lo and behold the voice of Sammy Haggar belted "I CAN'T DRIVE 55" :lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2w83zPr6wU

Again Macedonians are noted, Tito must have been a very crafty man when he decided to create us.

Greeks, Bulgars and Serbs what is your take on this information?

Macedonian propaganda maybe?

So Dedo Tito woke me up again and told me to go take a ride in the delorean with him Chichko Doc and Bato Marty. As I rubbed my eyes I noticed Tito had what looked like hickeys on his neck :eek When I asked what happened he said - "Mosquito bite me" :oo :kooky :idn :?? I only assume that mosquito was Sirma or Milka :lol Tito popped in another cassette tape this time it was George Thorogoods "One Bourbon One Scotch One Beer" :lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISmgOrhELXs Marty wasn't to thrilled about this song and preferred Sammy Haggar or Van Halen ;) Doc didn't mind much. And on we went Back To The Future to fudge up a volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica from 1824.

So Tito came by today not to take me Back To The Future but to show me something in a book. And I realized that Oops Tito did it again. This time without me, Chicko Doc and Bato Marty. When I asked who he took with him to the Turkish Palace in the 19th century he laughed and said "She's in car waiting for me right now", When I looked in the car I couldn't tell if it was Sirma or Milka or whoever it was wearing a folk costume. Tito is something else :lol This is the only guy I know that can get Macedonian girls to do anything ;)

And here's something extra to check out - http://www.macedoniadirect.com/costumes/default.asp

From the link above;

Quote:
Traditional costumes in these parts of Macedonia are characterized by the numerous pieces of clothing, made mostly of white klashna, as well as the various headdresses and rich prevailing red colors.

and

Quote:
The eastern Macedonia type includes: the Middle Vardar Valley, and the Shop ethographic area.

The costumes from these regions are generally lighter and rather plain, without massive jewelry, exquisite decoration and lively colors. Red is the prevalent color, and other decoration includes variegated cords, braids, bands and srma.

And here's 2 videos about Macedonian costumes from all parts of Macedonia (I know that these were posted once before I believe by Alexander VII) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvgSEiRU ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnlXzTdA ... re=related

BTW a Serai is a Turkish Palace. And for an overview of what a shawl is (for those who don't know) click this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shawl

The text makes mention of the Rascians. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raci According to the source given by wikipedia (I don't like wikipedia but it does have a source in this case) the Rascians are - Raci (Раци, Rác, Rácok, Ratzen, Ratzians, Rasciani, Rascians) was a name used to designate Serbs, or sometimes, in a wider perspective, all South Slavs,[1] in the Middle Ages and the early modern times. The name was primary used by Hungarians and Germans and it derived from the name of medieval Serbian principality – Raška (Rascia)[2].

So we know that the author makes reference to Slavic speaking peoples when he says "Servians, Rascians, Macedonians, and Bulgarians".

BREAKING NEWS: NOW THE SERBS GOT THEIR OWN A TIME MACHINE!!! :eek

Apparently, this chap NOVAKOVIC was jelaous of Tito's rides, euphimistically called "Back to the Future". So he built his own tiem machine! The smarty pants wants to outdo Tito, but can he do it ?!?

Novakovic went for a try on his time machine back to 1917. Look at what he invented, a woman from Bitola claiming she is "neither Bulgar nor Serb, I am Macedonian only..."! :idea

Unbelievable, Tito's time machine seems to be creating a competition as to who will invent more Macedonians!!!

It was good of the National Geographic to record that quote and good of you to post it here.

BTW, Sabotsko is Pop Nikodim's town - renamed Aridea by the Arvanovlach.

Never mind my boy! Shall we make an another journey with Tito's time machine through past centuries... :wave

Quote:
The Moldavians, the Wallachians, the Bulgarians, the Macedonians and Thessalians, Servians and Montenegrians, even the Arnauts and Bosnians, although the latter passed for Musulmans, participated in this feeling.

Mene I need to ask you to do me a favor and further elaborate what you mean by this statement;

Quote:
You are proving my point Arvanit. Macedonians were originally Greek in character. We are Greeks. Simple
How exactly would you like us to handle the situation ? What if a millenia from now your Kosovo kin declare themselves a minority in Albania ? Kind of wierd isnt it ?

How in the world are transplanted Baptised Turks honored by the description you falsely give for Macedonia in your baseless comment?

tsk tsk TM. There you go again with the baptised turks. Cmon man, Your better than that.
Anyway, regarding us baptised turks ( which half my family is from ) all I can say is that they were flourishing under the Ottoman Empire. I really cant see for the life of me why a Turk would convert to Christianity under the Ottoman Empire as if there was some special benefit by doing that. If anything your new found buddies are mostly " Circumsized Greeks " rather than us being " Baptised Turks ".

I also have an uncle (although not directly related to me) that is from Macedonia. He is a Hellenized Vlach from the Vlachoxoria in Kozani area. What about him ? Does he not have a right to feel Macedonian ? Do you have any idea how long his family has been in Macedonia ? How should we consider his status ? He personally wants nothing to do with you guys and im sure his past lineage has been fully assimilated to the Greek Ethnos. Whats your take on this ?

Lets take it a step further, how many ppl in ROM are from Greek Macedonia ? Most are probably from the Ottoman Macedonia that encompasses a way bigger area than the Macedonia of Antiquity. You actually believe these ppl are pure in the Macedonian sense of the word ? Its all about assimilation. In your case Slav assimilation if we are to use language as a definer. Anyway, I thought my comment was clear.

TM i think you got the greeks running scared.Whils't we know we are macedonians,the greeks have forgotten who they are as they are ready to adopt another country's identity.THe greek insignia is paranoia & denial of macedonia & to expropriate everything macedonian for themselves.ONe would think that tito would definitely need a time machine to perform those superhuman feats next to impossible.Would you beleive the greeks are running scared of their own shadows in the dark.
To put it bluntly macedonia has existed from times immemorial & it keeps on existing today.NO one created anything the people
are genuine macedonian & it is in their blood.
