Macedonian delegation will be heading to Brussels this week to present Ohrid travel guide to EU lawmakers as well as to Belgian tour-operators and travel agencies.

The presentation was initiated by the Macedonian embassy in Brussels.

Last week, the city of Ohrid hosted Tof Tours, one of the largest tour-operators in Belgium, whose representatives came to Ohrid to gather first-hand information and personally see the beauties of Macedonia's pearl and the hotel accommodations quality.

Zoran Tuntev, a man in charge of the event in Ohrid, said the article titled "The Seven Wonders of Ohrid" published in the New Year's edition of prestigious The Parliament magazine, drew much attention in Brussels.

"This is the best way to present Ohrid and Macedonia in the heart of Europe and an excellent example of how we should act to promote it," Tuntev said.

Besides presenting Ohrid's beauty through brochures and video footage, the Macedonian embassy will stage tasting of Macedonian food and wine, alongside the Macedonian traditional music.

Sky wings airline plans to launch direct flights Brussels-Ohrid in the near future.
