Dnevnik: Computer for Every Pupil in Macedonia

Computer for every child is the name of the project
with which the Macedonian Government is planning to renew primary and secondary
schools in the following two years. The Government is planning to purchase 150,000
computers for the pupils in primary and secondary schools together with free
training and internet, as well as scholarships for IT students.
9 million euros are projected in the 2007 budget,
and an additional 9 million euros will be provided with 2008 Budget.
“From the beginning of the next school year
each child in the school will have a computer. The purchase will be performed
in two stages, with public bidding. Each citizen will have the opportunity to
purchase computer for 100 US dollars, or to pay for it on 12 installments,” said
Zoran Stavrevski, vice prime minister, at the promotion of the new projects for
ICT development held on December 10, 2006.
Total amount just for the first project is expected
to reach 20 to 22 million euros.
“In the first half of 2007 we will announce
international tender for purchasing half of the computers. We have not yet defined
the final number of computers, but we know that we need from 150,000 to 180,000
computers. We have contacted with the UNDP office. There is a “One Laptop
per Child” project going on in the world, within which a company produces
laptops for $100. We have contacted with producers to find out who can produce
that number of computers for a favourable price,” said Stavrevski.
Within the second project planned for May 2007
all the citizens will have the opportunity to be trained for basic computer skills
free of cost in partnership with private sector.
The third project projected for 2007 and 2008
will provide free internet for the citizens. With the fourth project planned
to start in 2007 the Government plans to financially support 5,000 students that
will study information technologies at some of the faculties in Macedonia. The
amount that the students are to receive from the Government is not yet determined,
but it is certain that about 500 students will receive four-year scholarship
of 5,000 denars per month.
Statistically in Macedonia there is one computer
per 56 children.
“Equipping will be simultaneous, both in
the urban and rural areas. Currently, there are about 5,000 computers in the
schools that were donated by the People’s Republic of China,” said
Jovan Lazarov, deputy minister of education.

EU Member State Greece Continues to Systematically Deny Freedoms to Minorities

Washington, D.C. – The United Macedonian Diaspora is gravely concerned over the recent statements made by Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis in an exclusive interview for the Macedonian daily newspaper Dnevnik in which she stated "I am proud of the capacity of Greek democracy. All citizens of Greece have equal rights. I am sure that you already know that in Greece there is only one minority in Western Thrace and those are the Muslims. There is no such thing as 'a Macedonian minority.'"
Ms. Bakoyannis' statements are blatant lies and as such, insults to the human rights reports duly and objectively recorded by the U.S. Department of State, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Freedom House, Council of Europe, Greek Helsinki Monitor, and other respected advocates of human and civil rights on the Macedonian national minority in Greece. The United Macedonian Diaspora is very troubled that Ms. Bakoyannis, a person of significant achievements and diplomatic skills, would ignore the internationally recognized fact that within her country's borders, there exists a Macedonian national minority in areas where they have lived for centuries.
Greece has not only denied the existence of a Macedonian national minority but has systematically denied its rights to freedom of speech, press, assembly, and religious association. It is deeply regrettable that a member of the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and the United Nations, from a state that claims to be the cradle of democracy, denies the existence of minorities within its borders, including the Macedonian, Turkish, Albanian, Vlach, Jewish, and Roma groups. Greece, although a signatory, has yet to ratify the Council of Europe's Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities, placing it far outside the mainstream of European norms. Greece's failure to do so is a testament to its attempt to diminish its responsibilities in relation to human rights.
The United Macedonian Diaspora calls upon Ms. Bakoyannis and the Greek government to officially recognize the Macedonian national minority within its borders, Greek citizens nonetheless, a minority with their own Macedonian language and culture, and to finally end this charade. In addition, our organization calls upon the Greek parliament to ratify the Council of Europe's Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities unconditionally. Furthermore, the United Macedonian Diaspora urges the international community to continue to put diplomatic pressure on Greece in their efforts to recognize all minorities living within its borders and to allow the thousands of Macedonian refugees exiled during the Greek Civil War to return to their homes where they can receive just repatriation and restitution for their private properties, which were illegally confiscated.
The United Macedonian Diaspora would like to emphasize that under the rule of international law, there is no precedent granting any government the power or authority to dictate to another sovereign state what that other state's name is or should be. The United Macedonian Diaspora urges the United Nations, the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and those countries that have not yet done so, to confer full diplomatic recognition to the Republic of Macedonia under its constitutional name.

'LEXICAL SELF -DATING' EVIDENCE FOR A COMMON AGRO-PASTORAL ORIGIN OF SANSKRIT 'GOPATI', 'GOSPATI' AND SLAVIC 'GOSPOD', 'GOSPODIN' MEANING LORD/MASTER/ GENTLEMAN MORE THAN 8,000 YEARS AGO

Abstract
Cattle have had a central role in the evolution of human cultures and they are the economically most important of domesticated animal species. All modern domesticated Bos taurus cattle breeds are believed to be derived from the now extinct wild ox or aurochs. The most widely accepted view holds that, the taurine cattle were domesticated 8,000-10,000 years ago. Fossils indicating the presence of taurine cattle have been found at Mohenjo Daro and Harappan sites of the Indus valley from 4,500 years ago. Goats and sheep domesticated in the Middle East, began to spread, sometime after 7,000 BC. The agro-pastoral terminology relating to animal husbandry shows many similarities between Slavic languages and Sanskrit, except in horse breeding, despite the evidence that horse had been domesticated about 6,000 years ago. This is also an indication that the ancestors of the present-day Slavs and Indo-Aryans diverged more than 6,000 years ago, in agreement with archaeological, climatic, linguistic and other evidence. In Sanskrit 'gopati', 'gospati' means the lord of cowherds, leader, chief. This is a compound word; the bases being the Rig Vedic 'go' meaning m. an ox, f. cow, pl. cattle, herd, kine, herd of cattle and 'pati' meaning a master, owner, possessor, lord, ruler, sovereign; which in turn is derived from 'pat', 'patyate' meaning to be master, rule, control. The Slovenian 'gospod' and Russian 'gospodin' preserve 'gos', the genitive form of 'go'. The Sanskrit and Slavic agro-pastoral terminologies appear to have a common, more than 8,000-year-old, source. Furthermore, there is also a significant genetic correlation between Slavs and the peoples on the Indian sub-continent.
Introduction
M. Snoj's Slovenski Etimoloski Slovar (Slovenian Etymological Dictionary) attempts to derive the Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian gospod, Russian gospod' and Czech hospodin meaning lord, master from Latin "hospes" meaning host and also guest; A. G. Preobrazhensky's Etymological Dictionary of the Russian Language proffers a similar explanation. However, a closer examination and a comparison to Sanskrit gopati/gospati/goshpati reveals that the origin is more likely in the terminology of agro-pastoral society, as revealed by numerous Slavic lexical similarities with the Sanskrit language, and not with the Latin, where these resemblances are considerably less frequent. In addition, the archaeological data on domesticated animals provide datable referents for lexical dating of agro-pastoral terminology. Furthermore, the results of Y chromosome DNA comparisons between Slavs and the Indo-European speakers on the Indian sub-continent provide additional support to this hypothesis of a common origin.
Alinei cites Herodotus, the Greek historian, who wrote -2,400 years ago that Indians were more numerous than any other nation that he was acquainted with and Thracians as the most numerous people after the Indians. Alinei has advanced a hypothesis based on the historical and linguistic evidence, that Thracians was the name that Herodotus gave to the Slavs owing to the fact the Thracians were one of the most powerful and representative elites of Slavic speaking Eastern Europe (Alinei 2003). The modern day populations are the reflection of the ancient populations; the population on the Indian sub-continent is still the largest in the world and the Slavic speakers form the most numerous language group in Europe and occupy more than half of the landmass of Europe (Rand McNally 1980).
The study of Sanskrit-the most important religious and literary language of India-by the Europeans, contributed to the study of Indo-European languages and thus eventually the whole science of modern linguistics came into being. The term Samskrta means civilized, polished, cultivated, correct (according to the rules of grammar). Undoubtedly the earliest document in the linguistics is Rig Veda, but there is no consensus regarding the age when it was composed. T. Burrow, by a rough guess-work places its origin at 1,000 BC, whereas A.A. Macdonell cites Sanskrit scholar Hermann Jacobi who dates the oldest Vedic hymns to 3,000 BC, but another scholar, Bal Gangadhar Tilak puts them as far back as 6,000 BC.; G. Feuerstein mentions that both hypotheses are based on different astronomical phenomena mentioned in the Rig Veda. Jacobi also hypothesized that Indians and Iranians separated before 4,500 BC. In addition, Burrow also provides examples of linguistic similarities between Avesta and Sanskrit and notes that the resemblance between ancient Iranian and the language of the Veda is very striking in the field of culture and religion. However, when it comes to pastoral terminology, he presents fewer similarities (Burrow 1995, Feuerstein 1995, Macdonell1917).
Feuerstein et al note that the Indian historian Romila Thapar observed that for the Vedic Aryans the cow was a measure of value and a very precious commodity. The archaic Sanskrit word for both cow and bull is 'go'. 'Go' also denotes human speech, particularly the inspired speech of the Vedic seers (Feuerstein 1995). It should also be noted that in Slavic languages the root 'go-' is used similarly in compounds relating both to cattle and to speech. In addition the Sanskrit word 'veda' meaning knowledge has also the same meaning in some Slavic languages including Slovenian.
Alinei posits that vocabulary offers possibilities for fairly reliable dating, in spite of the complexities and problems that are frequently involved. Vocabulary is representative of the entire history of a community, since it contains vestiges of innumerable stages of cultural-historical renewal of a community of speakers. Accordingly, we can see the history of a language through its vocabulary as an aggregate of innumerable stratigraphies, each corresponding to a lexeme, the ordered sequences of which may be compared with one another for the identification of common periods e.g. modern, Renaissance, mediaeval, Christian, Roman and various prehistoric periods (Alinei 2004).
In this paper, the origin of words such as 'gopati', 'gospod' meaning lord, master and also ‘gost’ meaning guest in the Indo- European languages will be examined from the point of reference to their probable agro-pastoral beginnings. The present Slovenian colloquial meaning of the word 'gospod' is analogous to mister/gentleman, but Lord in a religious context. However, historically it was used in the sense of lord, master, which indicated that the person had a dominion over others and that the person exercised this authority on the basis of property or religious rights. The Sanskrit ‘gopati’, 'gospati’ and 'goshpati' are analogous to the Slavic 'gospod' or 'gospodin'. In Apte's The Practical Sanskrit-English Dictionary (PSED) we can see that, Sanskrit 'gopati' can mean an owner of cows, a leader; chief, king and in Vedic language a herdsman, protector; guardian, cowherd, a king; 'goshpati' means a chief herdsman. This indicates that the origin was in an age, when the cattle were already domesticated and there had been an accumulation of wealth to a point, where some owners had other people looking after their livestock.
In the search of the meaning for the Slovenian words 'gospod' meaning lord/master/gentleman, 'gost' meaning guest and 'govedina' beef, the answer is found in the Vedic Sanskrit, particularly in the cattle herding terminology.

UMD and MHRMI Call on the European Union to Ensure that Human Rights are Respected by the Bulgarian Government

Washington, D.C. and Toronto, Canada - The United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) and Macedonian Human Rights Movement International (MHRMI) call on the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights to intervene immediately to ensure that the human rights of the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria are respected by the Bulgarian government in accordance to the verdict by the European Court of Human Rights.
The Bulgarian government’s latest denial of the Macedonian minority’s freedom of association and freedom of expression occurred on 1 November 2006, with the rejection of a valid OMO Ilinden PIRIN application for registration as a political party. OMO Ilinden PIRIN was not provided a legally coherent rationale for this rejection by the Court and was only allowed 30 minutes to make its rebuttal argument. This denial is a blatant contempt of the recent European Court of Human Rights’ verdict that the Bulgarian government is in violation of OMO Ilinden PIRIN’s freedom of association and that it should be allowed to register as a political party.
OMO Ilinden PIRIN is an organization that represents the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria. The organization was originally registered as a political party in 1999 and it did participate in the municipal elections in October 1999 where five of its members were elected as local officials. However, on 29 February 2000, for unknown reasons the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria declared OMO Ilinden PIRIN as unconstitutional. Such action by the court directly violated the right to freedom of association and the right to freedom from discrimination as the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg stated “The fact that the applicant party's political programme was considered incompatible with the prevailing principles and structures of the Bulgarian state did not make it incompatible with the rules and principles of democracy.”
The Bulgarian government continually suppresses and refuses to acknowledge the existence of the large Macedonian minority in Bulgaria and as such clearly violates the basic human rights for self identification. Members and supporters of OMO Ilinden PIRIN (political party and human rights organization) and OMO Ilinden (human and minority rights organization) have been videotaped, harassed, beaten, fined, and even imprisoned simply for asserting their ethnic Macedonian identity.
In yet another bid to regain registration as prescribed by the European Court of Human Rights, OMO Ilinden PIRIN re-commenced the process in June 2006 and accumulated the necessary signatories. However, Bulgarian authorities continued to hinder the registration process for OMO Ilinden PIRIN with unnecessary changes to relevant legislation, including increasing the minimum party membership from 1,000 to 5,000 signatories. OMO Ilinden PIRIN accumulated nearly 6,000 members for the registration procedure to ensure full compliance with the new rules.
In the lead up to the Bulgarian Court’s decision Bulgarian authorities have engaged in the intimidation of members of OMO Ilinden PIRIN with detainment and threats of deportation, loss of citizenship, loss of employment and pension benefits and even execution. These incidents have been recorded by OMO Ilinden PIRIN and are available for review at www.omoilindenpirin.org.
The European Union is based upon the premise of equality, freedom and unity. It is unthinkable that these abuses can occur in the 21st century by a chauvinistic government that desires to be part of the European family. The Macedonian minority in Bulgaria is real, their harassments are real, and their struggle for human rights is real and they will prevail. However, the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights must intervene immediately to accommodate the most basic needs and rights of the Macedonian minority
'Greece violates rights of its Turkish
minority'

The Council of Europe's decision has "clearly
showed" that the Turkish Muslim minority living in Greece's Western Thrace
region has been deprived of basic human and minority rights in the field of religious
freedoms, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Namik Tan stated on
Monday.
Tan, in his written statement, expressed Ankara's
pleasure at the CoE's Committee of Ministers decision. Tan recalled that Greece
lost in two separate cases filed by late Iskece Mufti Mehmet Emin Aga and Gumulcine
Mufti Ibrahim Serif in the European Court of Human Rights
(ECHR) this July, and added that and two cases were handled by the CoE Committee
of Ministers on Dec. 6.
The spokesperson stressed that the Muslim Turkish
Minority in Western Thrace are European Union citizens entitled to the EU acquits
but are currently deprived of basic rights and freedoms in the field of religious
freedoms, among other areas.
Stating that general measures taken by Greece
after the decision of the ECHR are not properly preventing similar violations,
Tan added, "The committee also urged Greek authorities to rapidly take all
necessary measures to ensure that Greek courts comply with the European Court's
case-law. The Turkish minority of Western Thrace's right to choose its own religious
leaders is not being recognized by Greece."

THE TREASURES OF MACEDONIA
In August 1988 the Modern State of Greece (a Great
Power fabrication strategically created in 1829, a state which is neither related
to the Ancient People nor their City-States) decided to change the name of its
illegally annexed northern province from "Northern Greece" to "Macedonia"!?
Why did the Greek government do this? Why didn't
they do this a decade earlier? The reason is because they knew that Communism
was about to collapse, and the winds of change would sweep throughout Eastern
Europe. They knew that the "indigenous" Macedonians from across the
border in the Socialist Republic of Macedonia (then part of the Socialist Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia) would declare their independence and resurrect "part" of
their Ancient State! Communism collapsed in Europe in the late 80's and early
90's. The indigenous Macedonians in Yugoslavia achieved their independence in
1991.
The name change by Greece was a ploy to "muddy" the
waters in order to suppress the Republic from using the name Macedonia and proclaiming
that it was the only one with exclusive rights to the name! From then on a Greek
state sponsored propaganda campaign was put in action!
As part of their world-wide (anti-Macedonian)
propaganda campaign the Greek government in 1988 organized (would you believe)
a so-called gift for Australia as part of their bi-centennial celebrations! It
was an exhibition of archaeological treasures which included items supposedly
found in King Philip II of Macedon's tomb in 1978 (by an Archaeology Professor
who was born in Asia Minor! Need we say anymore!?)
The exhibition was deliberately dubbed "THE
TREASURES of MACEDONIA"! This choice of title had sinister intentions and
was cleverly chosen! After the local Macedonian community protested, the Australian
government insisted that Greece drop the word "MACEDONIA" from this
title. But instead of dropping the name, Greece threatened to cancel the so-called
gift to the Australian people and the Australian government bowed to Greek demands,
allowed the exhibition to go ahead as was, thus sparking further protests from
the Macedonian community. Other countries declined the Greek offer to show the
treasures in their respective countries!
Sporting "greasy" wet looking hair do's
a Maltese friend of mine and I went to see the exhibition which was held at the
museum in Melbourne to see what the fuss was all about! I had my trademark distinctive "hair-part" which
only hair-styling "grease" could maintain! Plain water sprayed through
my hair, then combed failed to achieve this desired look. My friend (whom I call "Malta")
had and still has shoulder length black curly hair! Hair-styling "grease" is
not appropriate for him! Rather, he "lathers" "hair-mousse" through
his hair. "Mousse" (he tells me) meets the requirements of his hair
needs!
At the entrance there was this big sign which
read in blue writing TREASURES OF MACEDONIA. It was accompanied by a blue sixteen
pointed sun-symbol on a white background. (funny, I thought the Sun was yellow
in colour?) Blue & White stripes are the colours on the Modern Greek flag!
I immediately knew that something fishy was going on!
Macedonia > Makedonija is a "Slavic" name. Make > Mother,
Don > Domain, Make-Don > Mothers Domain.
"MAKE-DON" IS NOT A SUB-SAHARAN / AFRO-ASIATIC NAME! Who's "Mothers
Domain"? The (highly civilized) indigenous Pelasgian, Venets/Enets, Lyncestians,
Paeonians, Brygian/Phrygian, etc tribes that lived on the territory of "geographical" Macedonia.
They spoke dialects of the same "word"/'Slov'/proto-"Slav" language
from at least 7,000 BC. (according to Cyrillic like inscriptions found in the
Republic of Macedonia, formerly the Socialist Republic of Macedonia within federal
Yugoslavia) Later, from around 800 BC (according to mainstream history) they
united in a single kingdom/state under the name Makedon. (Notice the "Dom" in
Kingdom!) "MAKE-DON" IS NOT THE "MOTHERS DOMAIN" OF THE SUB-SAHARAN
/ AFRO-ASIATIC MYCENAEAN COLONISTS AND/OR THE HETEROGENOUS PEOPLE OF THE ANCIENT
CITY-STATES (WHO WERE FORMED LATER AROUND 800 BC) NEITHER OF THESE ENTITIES PENETRATED
PAST THE COASTAL REGIONS OF CHALCIDICE. SO HOW CAN MAKE-DON BE THE "MOTHERS
DOMAIN" OF THE OFFSPRING OF THE TURKISH CHRISTIAN REFUGEES WHO WERE SETTLED
IN THE 51% GREEK OCCUPIED PART OF MECEDONIA FROM THE 1920's ONWARDS?! (NOT TO
MENTION "OTHER" IMPOSTORS FROM 1913!)
The golden sixteen pointed sun-symbol is an indication
that the Ancient Macedonians revered/worshiped the Sun God "ILIY".
So did the proto-Slav Illyrians who lived to the north-west of Makedon, and the "southern" Aegean
proto-Slav Pelasgians who lived south of Mt Olymp-us (Note. Mt Olymp-us > Iliy's
Mountain) stretching to the Morea peninsula (modern day Peloponnesus) and inhabiting
the Aegean islands. Many millennia later (around 1,600 BC) when the Sub-Saharan
/ Afro-Asiatic Colonists arrived, they simply jumped on the band-wagon and adopted
Iliy for themselves calling him "Hellios" (and many centuries later,
around 800 BC, so did the heterogeneous people of the Ancient City-States).

ARE INDIGENOUS PROTO-SLAVIC (MACEDONIAN) NAMES THAT HAVE REFERENCE TO THE SUN

(Gift of Iliy, the Sun God). *Note > Ilija > a Macedonian "male" name> Ili-ja,
and Ilinka > a Macedonian "female name"> Ili-nka. (Also the
name of the former Macedonian Foreign Minister)
The Sub-Sharan/Afro-Asiatic Mycenaean Colonists,
the "heterogeneous" people of the Ancient City-States, and the "hybrid" Modern
Greeks simply "Hellenized" these names! Eg: Philip > "Phillipos",
Aleksandar > Alexandros, Ilija > Ilias.
Even the name "Helen" from which is derived "Hellene" has
reference to Iliy! Ellena > Helen > Elle > Iliy.
My friend and I (reluctantly) paid the entry fee
then walked inside. It was a typical set up you would expect to see. The area
was roped off. There were numerous coins, vases, and many other artifacts bearing "Koine" inscriptions
that were behind glass screens. (Hmmm? funny there were no very ancient proto-Slavic
inscriptions to be seen anywhere!) There was a plaque above each glass cabinet
which contained a briefing note that explained (allegedly) where the artifacts
were found and what they meant. (I wasn't convinced) There were a couple of Security
Guards as well!
I saw the "Linear A" tablet (which was
found in Crete) and recognized the Modern Macedonian word "Zet"!
(meaning Son-in-law). The accompanying "Linear B" tablet made no sense
to me. The Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic Mycenaean Colonists/invaders took the alphabet
of the indigenous proto-Slav Pelasgian inhabitants of Crete (Linear A) after
conquering them around 1450 BC and used this to write an early form of "Koine" (Linear
B). The "southern" Aegean proto-Slav Pelasgians were the creators of
the culture of Mycenae!
In the Republic of Macedonia (formerly the Socialist
Republic of Macedonia within federal Yugoslavia) one of the oldest sources of
evidence written on stone in the "Ancient Macedonian" phonetic language/alphabet
dates back to the Neolithic period, to the time of the "Zets". As mentioned,
a Zet (in Modern Macedonian) is a Son-In-Law. From the deciphered inscriptions
it appears that the Zets of various tribes seemed to be involved in some sort
of conflict with each other. *A description that dates back between 2100 BC and
1200 BC tells a boastful story of how the Zet Ig'lal (eagle) destroyed the Ege

It appears that being a Zet had its privileges. It was common practice in those
days for a young man to leave his own family, marry and become a Zet. Marriages
were a powerful symbol for bonding family ties and for forging powerful alliances.
A good example of this is Philip II's marriages to various women from his annexed
worlds.
The artifacts (supposedly found in the Greek occupied
part of Macedonia) had some very badly spelled and poorly worded inscriptions
in the ancient "International (Mediterranean) Koine" or "Common
Language" which was present in Ancient Macedonia (at a later date) after
500 BC. The inscriptions were identical to those found in Athens, clearly indicating
their non-indigenous origin! To be a dialect of the Ancient City-States there
needed to be some divergence in the inscriptions, just like there was in the
other City-States further south and in the Peloponnesus! There was none! So,
whatever Koine the Ancient Macedonians spoke was taught to them by teachers from
Athens!
In the making of the ancient "International
(Mediterranean) Koine" or "Common Language" (which has been hijacked
by the Modern State of Greece and called "Greek" today) the Ancient
Peloponnesians or the people of the Ancient City-States started to add phonemes
and symbols onto foreign/indigenous words in the evolution of their own language!
In this language (Koine) the overwhelming selection of words were of indigenous
proto-Slavic origin (i.e. "southern" Aegean Pelasgian and/or Phoenician)
and a lesser amount were Arab words. (i.e. Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic Mycenaean
Colonists/Invaders and/or Egyptian words). However, some words were not translated
and left as original! These words are similar to today’s Macedonian words!
(I also informed my Maltese friend that Malta too was a Phoenician colony!) On
the other hand US Scientists today are not counting on Modern Greeks as even
belonging to the Indo-European peoples because the Modern Greek Language, a bastardized
form of the ancient International Mediterranean Koine or Common Language, has
so many Arabisms!)
As mentioned, the Modern State of Greece (not
to be confused with the Ancient City-States) has adopted (hijacked) the ancient
International Mediterranean Koine language of the time and has classified (falsified)
it as "Greek" today! This would be like the African, former French
colony of "Niger" taking the French language and claiming it as theirs!
By doing this, the Modern Greeks (not to be confused with the people of the Ancient
City-States) may also think they can claim a stake on many other countries around
the Mediterranean, even the Jewish! (remember the Old Testament was translated
from Hebrew to Koine!)
The Greek government's intention was to victimize
the Modern Macedonians, remembering they don't speak any Koine at all today!
(so-called "Greek" today) The inscriptions unearthed were written in
a form that "Modern Greeks" could not comprehend! As mentioned, Koine
had evolved so much and had acquired so many foreign elements over the years
that it had become bastardized and hardly resembled the original!
We know from history that the Ancient Macedonians
also spoke another language besides poor and/or broken Koine (later becoming
somewhat bi-lingual!) Evidence of this also comes from the Ancient Macedonians
enemies, the Ancient City-States themselves and the likes of the Athenian Demosthenes
who called King Philip II of Macedon a "barbarian", meaning a "babbler" or "blubberer" of
foreign speech!
Too bad the Greek government didn't reveal what
this "other" language was by showing even older, very Ancient proto-Slavic
inscriptions (from at least 7,000 BC) which they are no doubt hiding from the
eyes of the world! (which is what Koine itself is overwhelmingly created from!
After 1,600 BC!) In the artificial borders of the Balkans today, how can one
on the side of The Republic of Macedonia (formerly SRM-Macedonia/Yugoslavia)
find an abundance of very ancient proto-Slavic inscriptions in the ground (which
is the root language of the Modern Macedonians) and over the border in artificial
Greece nothing has been found that we know of!? Hmmm!? I smell a rat! You don't
have to be Einstein to figure out what Greece is really hiding before the eyes
of the world!
There were prominent displays of the Ancient Macedonian
sun-symbol which appeared on coins and vases. However, throughout their history
the Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic Mycenaean Colonists and many centuries later the
Ancient City-States themselves had never used this symbol! It had never appeared
on an Ancient City-State coin or other relic! Likewise, the Modern Greeks had
never seen or knew anything about this symbol before! (that is before 1978!)
Across the artificial border in The Republic of Macedonia the Macedonian sun-symbol,
on the other hand, can be found engraved on century old churches and monasteries!
It is also common in the handmade centuries old fabric designs etc!
In 1988 we had the provocative situation when
the Turkish Christians (settlers in the Greek occupied part of Macedonia from
the 1920's) began displaying a flag with a "blue" Macedonian sun-symbol
on a white background. (This therefore matching the Modern Greek flag or Bavarian
flag which depicts blue and white stripes!).
In 2006 we have the pathetic situation where the
Turkish Christians (and other impostors) are flying proudly a new version of
this flag! It is now the golden Macedonian sun-symbol on a blue background! What
next?
While the Macedonians in the north (that’s
all of "geographical" Macedonia today) have always referred to themselves
simply as Macedonians, the various races that have inhabited the territory south
of Mt. Olympus have referred to themselves by different names over the ages:
Mycenaeans, Dannoi, Peloponnesians, Yunan, Achaea, Greci, Romanoi, HELLas, etc,
etc! When the recent ancestors of the "current inhabitants" of "Modern
Greece" illegally annexed 51% of the Ottoman occupied Macedonian nation
in 1913 they referred to the territory as "New Territories", then not
long afterwards changed the name to "Northern Greece", then once again
in August 1988 to "Macedonia"! (the Greek province of) (it seems that
they have a bad habit of changing names and falsifying history!)
Actually, not only do they have a bad habit of
changing names and falsifying history, but they also have a knack of taking other
people's symbols and putting them onto flags of their own design and imagination!
(thus provoking those people) Then they change the flag design at their own whim
and fancy! (to match current political trends and to offset their northern neighbour!)
There were sculptures which depicted lions. (and
lion's heads!) There was King Philip II's body armour. It contained three small
lion heads which were molded into it! Philip > Ph-ili-p > Iliy Leo > Lion > Ilion > Iliy
(The Sun God in the form of a Lion on earth!) Tsar Samoil was a medieval Macedonian
King who managed to establish a short lived Macedonian State/Empire. His symbol
was a two-tailed lion with a crown on its head! Samoil > Samo/Only, Il > Iliy > Only
Iliy. The Modern Macedonian coat of arms has the same two-tailed lion with a
crown on its head.
There was this coin which had the inscription
BACILICCAKLEOPATRA forged around a female head!? This I made out to be
Queen Cleopatra (69 - 31 BC) who was the last monarch of the ruling Macedonian
Ptolemaic Dynasty in Ancient Egypt. Basil- B > V, Vasil- Va > Vo > In,
Sil > Power, "Vo Sil" means "In Power" in Modern Macedonian!
Vasilicca > Vo-Sil-i-cca > (cca, tsa, is the female gender referring to
Queen!) Thus Basil means King & Basilicca means Queen! (Notice Sila > S-il-a > Iliy.
As in the "power" of the Sun God Iliy!) Many centuries later, at the
time of the ruling Macedonian Dynasty of the Byzantine Empire around 1000 AD
there were the (Macedonian Emperors) Basil I & Basil II.
As I was trying to comprehend all this, I noticed
that there was this tour guide who was escorting a dozen or so elderly people
around the place. He was trying to explain to them what the artifacts meant!
(allegedly!) I couldn't believe it when he introduced himself as Mr. Ilias Vassilakis!
Ilias > Iliy and Vassilakis >Vo-Sil > In Power > King.
By the mention of his name Ilias Vassilakis I
began to realize that the people of the Ancient City-States not only inherited
proto-Slavic blood, but also proto-Slavic culture as well! (I think the Greek
government knew this all along but was trying to prevent this leaking out at
all costs!) "Modern Greeks" then are mere "hybrids" (and/or
mongrels). Not that there is anything wrong with that by all means. The "Modern
Greek" genetic make-up (referring to the territory south of Mt. Olympus)
must contain the yoke of the numerous invaders, occupiers and settlers who have
inhabited this land over the ages, including the indigenous "southern" Aegean
proto-Slav Pelasgians! (Yes Slav "Yoke", the very same people they
so loathe and despise!)
Thus, by using the name "Greek" to refer
to both the Ancient and Modern people, the Greek State (founded in 1829) falsely
implies direct descent for the Modern Greeks from the Ancients!
Mr. Ilias Vassilakis was telling his audience
with passion how the mighty Macedonians conquered the Persian Empire in three
major battles! With the use of his hands he was trying to explain to them how
Alexander used the "hammer and anvil" tactics when he and his cavalry
broke through the Persian front lines at Gaugamela! Then, with a single loud
slap of his hands, "BANG", the Persian army would collapse under its
own weight and ultimately capitulate, leaving the Persian King Darius to flee
for his life! (AND YOU WERE THERE MY MAN!) He then intentionally misled the elderly
people driving home the point: "Before you is the proof that the Ancient
Macedonians were Greeks!!!" Though he couldn't prove it with his own roots,
what he should've said was: "Before you is the proof of the presence of
Ancient City-State culture in proto-Slavic Ancient Macedonia! I being a Modern
Greek have nothing to do with the people of the Ancient City-States (let alone
Ancient Macedonia)!"
Anyway, BIG DEAL! It is not at all surprising
that there was some Ancient City-State culture (NOT ANCIENT GREEK) present in
Ancient Macedonia. This is no different from finding the English language and
Cocoa Cola billboards today anywhere in the world from America to Zambia!
There was a map of Modern Greece which showed
its northern province as Macedonia (Makedhonia). The Socialist Republic of Macedonia
(in federal Yugoslavia) was referred to as Skopia! They couldn't even spell or
pronounce Yugoslavia! They referred to it as GIYKOSLAVIA!
Just before we left I tried taking a photo of
the Macedonian (golden) Crown! As alert as ever, a "Hellenized" non-Greek
Security Guard quickly intervened and prevented me from doing so. With an awful
English accent he was trying to say "NO FOTO....LOOK THA SIGN". I angrily
replied "THERE NOT YOURS MATE!" (Mate is an Australian expression for
Pal or Buddy). My Maltese friend had a smirk on his face!
As we made our way to the exit there was this
makeshift bookshop. There was this guy selling (would you believe) (propaganda)
books on Ancient Macedonia and Alexander The Great! They were only available
in the so-called "Greek" language. (As mentioned it is a bastardized
form of the Ancient International Mediterranean Koine or "Common Language").
After viewing the exhibition, I realized that
their shameless act of grave-digging has backfired into a "REAL GREEK TRAGEDY"!
And that it would be only a matter of time before others opened their eyes and
noticed as well! It really is sad to see people going to such lengths to find
a hero for themselves, where he clearly belonged to a foreign people (and an
enemy at that) and country!
The rich Macedonian history in which the Turkish
Christians (impostors) and the rest of the "Hellenized" non-Greeks
are trying to hijack is too much for them to abandon!

MACEDONIANS AND DANAIANS
In the late 8th century BC there were some (Ancient)
City-States "dotted" on the eastern coast of the Aegean Sea (now Turkey).
More specifically, on the region/territory known as "Ionia". The poet
Homer lived in this region around this period of time. Homer's epic poems many
centuries later would inspire Alexander The Great to reach out and seek adventure.
Ionia was (supposedly) the home of the earliest so-called Ancient City-State
philosophy, mathematics and science.
Note: In the Modern Macedonian language "Ionia" sounds
like and could mean "and that region/territory". I-on-ia> I > and,
on > that, ia > is a "suffix" referring to the subject in question.
In this case a region or territory.
About 500 years after the Trojan wars (the Trojans
were a proto-Slavic people) Homer wrote the Iliad (which depicts the battle of
Troy) and the Odyssey (which depicts the epic voyage of Odysseus who returns
home to the island of Ithaca after the Trojan war).
Originally, Homer's stories were folktales told
and retold for centuries until they were immortalized in print. What is interesting
about Homer's stories especially the Iliad, is that they were originally written
in the prehistoric Macedonian language. The first paleolinguist to openly proclaim
the similarities between the words of the Iliad and those of the modern Slavic
languages was the German Homerologist Pasov in the 1830's.
Note: "Story" (as in Homer's Stories.
Also as in "History"). In the past tense "stori" in Modern
Macedonian means "what happened". As in "shto se stori".
The Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic (Modern Greek) equivalent would be "ti egine" meaning "what
happened" which no way resembles the word "Story"/stori.
Iliad: means "Land of the Sun".
Ili > Iliy, the Sun God & (ad). Iliy is the Sun God of the highly
civilized indigenous, proto-Slav peoples of the Balkan-Anatolian cultural
complex. (for example: The "tribes" who "later" would
unite under the banner "Macedonians", where they would use a golden
sixteen pointed sunburst symbol to identify themselves with. The Illyrians,
who live north-west of the "above mentioned". The "Southern" Aegean
Pelasgians/Venets/Enets who live south of Mt Olymp(us), stretching to the
Morea peninsula (modern day Peleponnesus) and inhabiting the Aegean islands.
The proto-Slav peoples living around the eastern coast of the Aegean Sea
in Anatolia if we go by the title of Homer's book.)
Odyssey: In the Modern Macedonian language "Odyssey" means "for
one's self to walk and/or wander off". Odi> "walk away/wander off",
Si > "ones self".
All these proto-Slav peoples (people who spoke
dialects of the same "word"/"Slov"/"Slav" language)
were living in these lands since at least 7,000 BC before the displaced (somewhat
Arabic speaking), primitive and savage like Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic Mycenaean
Invaders/Colonists crossed the Mediterranean Sea and settled at the Morea peninsula
(modern day Peloponnesus) around 1,600 BC (and threw the spanner into the engine
works). Note: ‘More' in Modern Macedonian means "Sea".
They (most surely fought) then assimilated with
the local inhabitants, the "Southern" Aegean proto-Slav Pelasgians/Venets/Enets,
taking aspects of their language and culture and adopting it for themselves!
Even the Sun God Iliy, which they then called "Helios"!
The Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic Mycenaean Invaders/Colonists
then tried to expand by acquiring more foreign territory! They took the alphabet
from the indigenous proto-Slav inhabitants of Crete (Linear A) after conquering
them around 1450 BC and wrote an early form of Koine (Linear B)! The indigenous
proto-Slav inhabitants of Crete are credited as being the creators of the culture
of Mycenae! Note: "Linia" in Modern Macedonian means "A
Line".
The term "Macedonia" is "Slavic"!
IT IS NOT A SUB-SAHARAN/AFRO-ASIATIC WORD! Macedon > Makedon > Make > Mother/s,
Don > Domain. "Mother's Domain" or Make-Don!
Homer, in the Iliad mentions (Macedonian) "tribes",
Paeonian, Pelasgian, Venets or Enets, Brygian or Phrygian etc, that fight on
the side of Trojans against the allies of the new coming conquerors of the Balkans
- "Danaians" (whom he calls!). Westerners know them as Mycenaeans!
In the Iliad, this is a happening that occurred in 1,193 - 1,183 BC!
Note: "Danaians"/"Danaoi" could
simply mean "Neighbours". Take "Dan/Don" as a prefix. In
Modern Macedonian Dan/Don is "a place" where a person finds himself.
(Don > "a home". As in Kingdom, freedom). Dan-a/Don-a > the "a" changes
the meaning of the word to that of "a place besides their/one's own".
Dan-a-ians/Don-a-ians >"ians" is a suffix in reference to "these
people" living beside them/one's own. "Danaians"/ > People
living beside one's domain.
The irony is that some of the soldiers of the "neighbours" (Danaian)
states/allies would have been (would you believe) proto-Slav-Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic & Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic-proto-Slav "hybrids" and/or
mere "mongrels"! Perhaps even Achilles himself! Note: Ach-ili-es! So
too Odysseus! Note: Ody-sse-us! (Odi-Si). (Just like the "Terminator" movies
where the cyborgs/half human /half machines were fighting the humans)
On the brink of defeat the Danaian (neighbours)
used cheap, unconventional war tactics! A horse, which was supposed to be a gift
was in fact a trick that instead was filled with soldiers who entered and opened
the main gate! (as seen in the Hollywood movie Troy) There is evidence that after
the Trojan war refugees fled and some settled as far away as Northern Italy!
Note: "Venice" > Veneti > Slov-veneti/vani. (word-people).
This "happening" (The Trojan War) which
is depicted in Homer's Iliad should be treated in fact as World War I, between
the pre-Slav (proto-Slav) population of the Balkan-Anatolian cultural complex
and the allies of the new incoming conquerors on the Morea peninsula (modern
day Peloponnesus), Attica, and the Aegean islands -the Danaians (Mycenaeans).
The Mycenaean civilization collapsed around 1,100
BC. This is open to debate about why and how it happened?! (You can draw your
own conclusions!) Archaeological evidence points to defensive architecture. Some
rulers built great defensive walls around their citadels and, in some cases,
passages beneath the walls to protect water supplies. All this activity must
mean that there was fear of attack by neighbours. Was it internal strife? Or
could the proto-Slav allies have united once more delivering the Mycenaeans (Danaians)
a catastrophic blow?! In any event, the region south of Mt. Olympus stretching
to the Morea peninsula (modern day Peloponnesus) and the Aegean islands was plunged
into a so-called "Dark Age" which lasted until about 700 BC!
The Peloponnesus, however, was to transform further
both culturally and linguistically due to the arrival of the more civilized Egyptians,
who overwhelmed the existing population only to eventually assimilate it into
the new cultural melting pot! Phoenician (proto-Slavic) colonists arrived around
this time as well. This transformation (the melting pot) resulted in the formation
of the Ancient City-States. The Peloponnesians or the Ancient City-States received
their alphabet from the Phoenicians (although the pre-Hellenic proto-Slav Pelasgian
alphabet pre-dated this!)
Could the various proto-Slav tribes north of Mt.
Olympus have united under the name "Make-Don" ("Mothers-Domain")
due to this Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic Mycenaean threat?! After all everyone knows
the phrase "United we are stronger"!
Mainstream history places the birth of Aegae (The
Argaed Macedonian Royal House) around the start of the 7th century BC with Perdiccas
I as the first ruler. Legend, however, has it that the first ruler to establish
the Argaed house in Rupishcha (Argos) was Caranus (Karan). He is believed to
have been the first king to rule the Macedonian kingdom from approximately 808
- 778 BC.
This (predominantly) Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic
Mycenaean yoke and menace, and neither the heterogeneous Ancient City-States
who were formed later (and contained this yoke) managed to penetrate north into "Macedonia" beyond
the coastal cities at Chalcidice.
Thus, (first of all) Make-don cannot be (and was
not) the "Mothers-Domain" of the predominantly Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic
Mycenaeans/Danaians/Neighbours. (as per Homer) Second, Make-don cannot be (and
was not) the "Mothers-Domain" of the heterogeneous people of the Ancient
City-States who were formed later, and whom the Macedonians "too" called
Danaians/Danaoi/"Danajtsi">Don-aj-tsi>"people living beside
our own domain" or simply "neighbours". This implies they were
two separate entities!
Make-don WAS NOT another "City-State".
It was an independent country/Kingdom (purely proto-Slavic).
The (many millenniums older) "united proto-Slav
tribes" from Make-don (Mothers-Domain) were provoked by their "neighbours,
whom lived beside their own domain" in the south. (the heterogeneous people
of the Ancient City-States, Danaians/Danaoi > "Donajtsi" > Don-aj-tsi).
(As mentioned) this foreign yoke and menace was
slowly penetrating northwards like a cancer and colonizing Macedonian lands on
the coast at Chalcidice, and continually interfering in Macedonian affairs.
Led by their king Philip II the Macedonian army
expelled the City-State colonists from the Chalcidice coast, before pushing forward,
conquering and extinguishing the (independent of each other) heterogeneous Ancient
City-States altogether at the "decisive" battle of Chaeronea in 338
BC. (Notice Oliver Stone failed to open his movie with this major battle scene!?)
With Alexander’s premature death in 323
BC the vast Macedonian Empire was divided up between his generals and successors.
In Egypt Ptolemy established himself so securely at Alexandria that his dynasty
continued to rule the country for 300 years, until the battle of Actium, in 31
BC, and the age of Augustus. The dynasty's last ruler was Queen Cleopatra VII.
The recently deciphered center text on the Rozetta
Stone which was found in Egypt confirms that the Ancient Macedonians called the
citizens of, and the Ancient City-States themselves "Danaians"/Danaoi/"Danajtsi" > Don-aj-tsi.
("neighbours whom lived beside their own domain")
Therefore, not only do we have Homer in the late
8th century BC (who lived on the eastern coast of the Aegean Sea, which is now
Turkey) referring to the Mycenaean invaders of Troy in 1,193 - 1,183 BC as "Danaians",
we now have confirmation that the Ancient Macedonians (who lived north of Olympus)
too called the citizens of, and the Ancient City-States themselves "Danaians" as
well! "Neighbours, whom lived beside their own domain".
Thus, if "Make-don" (a Slavic word)
means "Mothers-Domain", then how can they be the same people as their "Southern" neighbours
when the former referred to them as "Danajtsi" > Don-aj-tsi (also
a Slavic word) /Danaians/ "neighbours, whom lived beside their own domain"?!
If we have confirmation that Homer called the
early Mycenaeans Danaians and now the Ancient Macedonians calling the people,
and the Ancient City-States themselves Danaians/Danajtsi, then what did these
people call themselves? The truth is they called themselves a variety of names!
The early Mycenaeans ceased to exist and the later races that inhabited the region
south of Olympus (especially the Peloponnesus region) were constantly evolving
over the ages due to the numerous invasions, conquests and assimilations that
took place. They called themselves Mycenaeans, Hellenes (though this is not an "ethnic" description),
Athenians, Thebans, Spartans, etc, Achaeans, Yunan/Yunanistan (got to like that
one!), Romanoi, Grci, Greece, HELLas, and so on, and so on! (seems that they
have a bad habit of changing names and falsifying history). But wait a second,
now they're trying to be Macedonians!!!
The 19th century Great Powers threw the spanner
into the engine works. After they created the Modern State of Greece in 1829
purely for strategic reasons, they simply erased all the truth and history that
had occurred previously. The problem was that Macedonia got its overalls caught
in the engine works and was dragged in as well! They created a fabricated
history to suit the situation on the ground at that point in time! Macedonia
and just about everything else came under the fake label "Ancient Greece!!!
The Macedonians since antiquity have always
referred to themselves simply as Macedonians. It goes without saying: If "Make-don"(Mothers-Domain/Macedonia)
and "Danajtsi" (Danaoi/Danaians > "neighbours, or people living
beside our own domain") are "Slavic" words, and the people living
to the "South" of them didn't know their own names and/or kept changing
them, then how do the Modern "Hellenized" non-Greeks reach the "moronic", "pathetic" "territorial
catch cry" conclusion "Macedonia is Greek"?!

PART I
Macedonians, Slovenes, and others believe that
the European continent was settled by different groups of people than official
history would have us believe. HISTORY IS WRITTEN (FABRICATED) BY THE WINNERS!
This is true of the Great (Western) Powers of Europe in the 19th century! ENGLAND
(Angles & Saxons)/GREAT BRITAIN (Celts), FRANCE (Franks), GERMANY (various
Germanic tribes), AUSTRIA (German speaking)-HUNGARY (non-Slavic), all have Germanic
roots/connections. There was ITALY (*non-Slavic) too. These western/central European
powers were fearful of the mighty "Slavic" RUSSIA, a powerhouse of
its own in the east. Around this time the OTTOMAN EMPIRE (Turkish) in the south-east
was crumbling. (It occupied many smaller Slavic nations)
The Great Powers of the 19th century had to create
(forge) a history which would somehow fit the "situation" on the ground
(which was changing) whilst maintaining their own nationalistic pride and prestige
which was forged too.
Traditional (fabricated) thinking is that the
ancestors of the present day Germans were the first people to settle Central
Europe! (I'm serious). However, with recent so-called "new evidence" (why
now?!) more and more Scientists are convinced that the pre-historic indo-European
people of central Europe, known by many names were not proto-Germans but proto-Slavs!
The proto-Slavs (the correct term is actually "Slovs" which
would evolve to "Slavs" many millennia later) were the first known
nation of central Europe and the original language of central Europe before the
arrival of the proto-Germans around 2,000 BC was Slavic (Slov-ic).
These indigenous "tribes" of people
identified "one of their own" by the similarities in their language.
They were of the same "word"/"slov". Thus, the prot-Slov
tribes would "later" call (and still do to this day) the later arrivals,
the proto-Germanic tribes "nemci", meaning "mutes". ("Nemci" is
a Slavic word, therefore Macedonian, for "people whom are unable to talk").
So, if the Slovs named their neighbours, whose
speech they could not understand, "mutes", would it not make sense
that they named themselves "people of the same word" -"Slovs"?
Exposure to Germanic tribes who descended south,
invaded and spread throughout Slov territories gave the Slovs their contrast
between themselves (of the same word) and the Germans who were "Nemci" (mutes).
The contrast between the two people and the need to distinguish one from the
other is perhaps what motivated the Slovs to self identify. (Being born out of
necessity, the word "Slav" came later, giving the impression that the
people "Slavs" themselves originated much later). In classical times
these people were mentioned by City-State (NOT ANCIENT GREEK) and Roman historians,
but they called them by different names, forged names like Rheti and Veneti.
(Examples of forged names exist with other people as well. Take the Germans for
example, where in their own language they call themselves Deutche. Italians call
them Tedesci, the French call them Allemandi, the Slavic Speakers call them Nemci,
and the English of course call them Germans).
The "Slavs" of today are not "all" the
same as the Slavs of the 6th century AD and the "Slovs" before that
going back to pre-history. (For example, like the English language of today where
it is spoken anywhere from England to Zaire!) The Slav language of the 19th century
linguistically linked many nations together. Some of the 19th century Slav academics,
however, intentionally or unintentionally interpreted this linguistic commonality
as an ethnic commonality, ethnically linking all Slavs together. (The Bulgars,
for example, were originally a Turkic-Tartar-Mongoloid tribe whom after arriving
in the Balkans adopted the Slav language and were eventually assimilated into
the larger indigenous Slav population who were already there). In other words,
if one spoke Slav then one must have belonged to the "Slav"-tribe?
In modern times it is the same as believing that if one spoke English then one
must belong to the "English tribe".
The "Slovs" became "Slavs"!
Slav history began with the first mention of the "Slavs" which happened
to take place in Justinian’s time in the 6th century AD. "Slav" is
a form of group identity (which some arguably would call "ethnicity")
that emerged in response to Justinian’s implementation of a building project
on the Danube frontier (not far from where the Macedonians were). The Slavs in
other words did not come from the north but became Slavs only when they were
in contact with the Roman frontier!
The term Slav then branched out and also took
on other meanings. Slava > glory, Slavlje >celebration. Pravo-Slav > (Orthodox
Christian) > a church or religious meaning. An overwhelming majority of Slov/Slav
people became Christians before and after the 6th century AD.
There was neither a mass south Slov migration
(It was a myth). The so-called 6th century AD concocted theory that the "Slavs" migrated
south to the Balkans was nothing more than a "further" fabricated attempt
to distort history to suit the agendas of the "Great Western Powers" of
the 19th century (and their allies, namely the newly created state of "Greece").
(Perhaps Slavic Russia was in the thick of it as well and conspiring with the "Germanic" nations
for the sake of peace and/or their own national prestige?) After being classified
as "Slavs" the 19th century (Ottoman occupied) Macedonians were regarded
as invaders in their own ancestral lands! "Slav" speakers during the
19th century were considered the enemy and were looked upon unfavourably by the
western world.
As mentioned the 19th century (1829) creation
of the state of "Greece" (particularly by England/Great Britain) with
its own fabricated history, was assembled solely for the purpose to act as an
anti-Slav buffer state in the Balkans to offset Slavic Russia. Later, in 1913
Greece was allowed to annex 51% of Macedonia which enabled it to hold the entire
northern Aegean coast. The "Hellenization" of Macedonian (Slavic) history
was given the green light by the Western Powers! (Modern Greece, a Great Power
protectorate and pawn, has used the term Slav to refer to the Macedonians, in
order to emphatically show to the world that the Modern Macedonians are not at
all related to the Ancient Macedonians. It also uses the word "Slav" to
denigrate the Macedonians!)
Should falsifications be used to teach official
history? (especially children). The falsification of history has in particular
left the modern nation of Greece in the unenviable position: from being a so-called "real
gift" to humanity to an absolute "disgrace" to humanity! (Unfortunately
the Macedonians are paying for it due to no fault of their own!)

WORD PEOPLE AND MUTES (PART 2)
With the non co-operation of the modern Greek
state (for obvious reasons) and that of the nation which carries the non-Balkan
name of Bulgaria, which is situated on the territory of ancient (proto-Slavic)
Thrace, this leaves us with the hypothesis that "geographical" Macedonia
is the oldest of the Slavic homelands!? Macedonia > Make-don-ija > Mothers-Domain.
The territory of a select group of "united proto-Slav tribes" who lived
there from at least 7,000 BC!
Over 450,000 inscriptions in Ancient scripts have
been found on the territory of the modern Macedonian republic alone!
This could mean that the "Slovani" > Slov-Vani > Slov-Word,
Vani-People > "Word People" originated in the territory which many
millennia "later" would be called "Mothers Domain" > Makedonija > Macedonia.
(approx 800 BC according to mainstream history. Then again should we believe
mainstream history?!) Note: The terms "Veneti", "Anti", etc,
are most likely Ancient City-State (NOT GREEK) and Roman forms of the name "Slovani".
Perhaps some of the early "descendants" of
the proto-Slav tribes that lived on the territory of Macedonia (which many millennia
later they would identify themselves as) branched out and immigrated to other
regions throughout Central and Eastern Europe!
Already having their own language, script and "high
culture" they would have built up their numbers. As they continued to spread
out their language began to diverge from the original. (The more divergence the
older the root language). Much the same way the English have done with their
various colonies throughout the world. (Eventually, "other" ethnicities
would have picked up the proto-Slav language, just like "other" ethnicities
speak English today).
The Slav migration theory is full of inconsistencies.
There is no "northern Slavic language"! It is only a variation of "Southern
Slavic"!
The first metallurgic cultures in the Balkans
are Slavic.....and are connected with Anatolia (modern Turkey). Slavic presence
in Anatolia nearly identical to that of Greek occupied Macedonia existed since
the stone age! The proto-Slavs of the Balkans have developed "agriculture"!
Germanic peoples adopted agriculture from the proto-Slavs! The Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic
Mycenaean Colonists did likewise! That means the "later" City-States
did as well! The Romans referred to some of the City-State colonists on Sicily
as "Graecos"! (no doubt in reference to the term "Agriculture" > A-gric-ulture > "gric" > "Graeco"!?)
Could it mean "Agriculture people"?! Perhaps this is where the 19th
century Great Powers of Europe "plucked" the name "Greece",
from which to refer to their newly created anti-Slav (anti-Russian, Anti-Macedonian) "buffer" state
of 1829! Therefore, even the name "Greece" doesn't belong to the "Hellenized" non-Greek
people of today!
It was 19th century German Scholars (along with
their French and especially English/British counterparts) who began writing the
ancient (fabricated) history for the modern (fabricated) Greek state. The Germans
were the ones to first argue for the Hellenism of the Ancient Macedonians. They
based this on their own nationalistic agenda, such as the future unification
of Germany, etc. The Germans needed a role model for their own political leaders
at the time. German Scholars (impostors) saw this in King Philip II of Macedon
(Make-Don!).
They saw and used King Philip II and Ancient Macedonia
as a natural unifier of the Ancient City-States. The problem was that there were
too many discrepancies! The Germans, for example, could not explain away Demosthenes’s
castigations of Philip II!
Greece too strived to establish Otto, the young
Bavarian prince, as King of Greece! (So much for being descendants of the so-called "Ancient
Greeks"! Demosthenes would have been turning in his grave!)
Germany had the pleasure of administering Greece
first. Britain, France and Russia mistrusted each other and opted for Germany
to take control of Greece. Germany at the time was the most neutral and had the
least personal vested interests in Greece.
The German author Falmerayer wrote a book in the
1830's with the title "History of the Balkan Peninsula". In it, amongst
other things, he tells the citizens of the newly manufactured Greek state that
the people of the Ancient City-States (of which the territory of their country
is situated on, and of which they have no relationship to) were not entirely
indigenous European people, but that many of them belonged to the Arabs!
(not that there is anything wrong with that). It is not at all surprising
that Falmerayer has not been heard of in Greece!
The German Homerologist Pasov compiled a "Dictionary" (also
in the 1830's). He is the first Paleolinguist to openly proclaim the similarities
between the words of the original Iliad (and Odyssey) and those of the modern
Slavic languages!
The German Toponimist Max Fasmer in his book "The
Slavs in Greece" examines the origins of 334 prehistoric Phoenician toponyms
in Epirus and concludes that they are of Slavic origin! The Phoenicians were
a proto-Slavic people who passed their alphabet to the heterogeneous & Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic
people of the Ancient City-States. (Though the pre-Hellenic proto-Slav Pelasgian
alphabet pre-dated the Phoenician!). Fasmer also discovered that there is a relationship
between the ancient Phoenicians and the medieval Slavs. Phoenicians > Ph > V > V-oenicians >Venet-ians >Veneti > Slov-Veneti > Slov-Vani > Slovs > Slavs.
What is also interesting is that in German the
words "Slaven" and "Vinden" are synonymous. (Slavic) Russia
is called Venaya by the neighbouring Finish. Likewise in the neighbouring Estonian,
Venalainen.
At the congress of Berlin (Germany) on July 13th
1878, without the Macedonian peoples’ knowledge, let alone participation,
high level negotiations and discussions were taking place between the Great Powers
(including Russia) and the newly formed Balkan states of Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria.
The terms of the recent and previous San Stefano Treaty of March 3rd 1878 were
annulled and attention focused on how to best (divide Macedonia) and solve the
Macedonian (territorial) question, that is once the Ottoman Empire ceased to
exist. Macedonia, an Orthodox Christian Slav nation (like Russia) would not be
allowed to become an independent state/nation because of its strategic position
in the Balkans. This infringed with the western "Germanic"/non-Slav
nation’s agendas. Macedonia would in some way have to be partitioned so
Russia and its Slavic allies would have no access to the Aegean and Mediterranean
Seas!
At the conclusion of the second Balkan War in
1913, anti-Slav Greece was allowed to extend its northern border (like a belt),
engulfing 51% of southern Macedonia and part of western Thrace (which too was
on the coast) thereby effectively seizing and controlling the Aegean and Mediterranean
Seas! Serbia annexed approx 39% of northern Macedonia, whilst Bulgaria got approx
10% of eastern Macedonia. Predominantly Muslim and Catholic Albania was also
strategically created in 1913! This was another anti-Slav "buffer" state
designed to further block Orthodox Christian Slav (Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria,
RUSSIA) access to the Mediterranean Sea (and limit them to) the Adriatic Sea.
Orthodox Serbian access to the Adriatic was limited via the use of Orthodox Slav
Montenegro on the coast! (Catholic Slav) Slovenia, Croatia, ("mixed" Catholic,
Muslim and Orthodox Slav) Bosnia-Herzegovina were part of the Austro (German
speaking) - Hungarian (non-Slav) Empire. These territories were situated on and
therefore had access to the Adriatic Coast. Germany was an ally of the Austro-Hungarian
Empire.
On June 28, 1914 at Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia,
Archduke Francis Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne and his wife
were assassinated by Gabriel Princip, a young Bosnian Serb (a Slav)-(we wonder
why!) This led to World War I.
Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm privately assured Austria-Hungary
of German support against Russia if the latter decided to aid Serbia! (Hmmm?)
Behind this readiness lay the Kaiser's long-standing desire to punish the Slavs!
Austria-Hungary had been looking for an excuse to repress its Slavic subjects
permanently.
Bulgaria (created in 1878 at a stroke of a pen)
joined the Central Powers (Austria-Hungary and Germany) in World War I and fought
against the Allies. Bulgaria did this in the hope of gaining more "Macedonian" territory
from Greece and Serbia (who were on the side of the Allies). By late 1915 her
armies marched in and invaded Macedonia. The Macedonians, however, mainly sided
with the Central Powers, who, as mentioned were waging war against Serbia and
Greece. The Bulgarians gave the Macedonian rebels financial and military aid
(weapons), and a "false" promise of independence! Meanwhile many Macedonians
were mobilized in the Serbian and Greek armies (as well as the Bulgarian). In
a tragic sequence of events Macedonians found themselves fighting on opposite
sides on the battlefield! The Central Powers and Bulgaria were defeated. However,
the Neuilly Treaty of 1919 preserved the 1913 Bucharest Tri-Division of Macedonia.
On 9th October 1934, in Marseilles, France, a
Macedonian revolutionary assassinated both King Alexander of Serbia and the French
Foreign Minister Louis Barthou. Serbia annexed 39% of Macedonia in 1913. France
was one of the main signatories of the Treaty of Bucharest, which was Macedonia's
death sentence.
When Hitler came to power in Germany, he went
to great lengths to prove Aryan superiority and condemned the Slavs (as well
as Jews, Gypsies, and others) as "Sub-Human" people who were not worthy
of inhabiting the planet! Hitler expressed his desire of the need to create more
German "living space"! He demanded that Czechoslovakia (a Slavic nation)
cede the Sudetenland with its sizeable ethnic German population. The Czech's
were sacrificed (by British diplomacy) in an attempt to avert war. However, on
1st September 1939, the Germans, seeking more territory, invaded neighbouring
Poland (also a Slavic country). This led to World War II.
During World War II Bulgaria (once again!) joined
the Axis partners and was allowed by Nazi Germany to occupy Vardar (Serbian occupied)
Macedonia, and a part of Aegean (Greek occupied) Macedonia. France knows what
it feels like to be under foreign occupation! They had a taste of it whilst they
too were under the occupation of Nazi Germany! (as they were reminded of by the
former British Prime-Minister Margaret Thatcher!) The Former German Province
of France -FGPoF! Imagine if the Allies didn't liberate France?! They would've
been speaking German today! Imagine also if the British (The Former Roman Province
of Britain -FRPoB) had have lost the Sky War in the "Battle of Britain"?!
They too would've been speaking German today and would've been known as The German
Province of Britain -GPoB! (The English language, anyhow, is Germanic based!)
(The two examples mentioned, is unfortunately the plight of the Macedonians in
Greece and Bulgaria today). The tide did swing in the Allies favour. The English
prevailed and France was liberated. Following the defeat of Nazi Germany the
pro-Nazi regime in Sofia, Bulgaria surrendered and Bulgarian soldiers deployed
throughout the region retreated.
The Yugoslav National Liberation Army occupied
Vardar Macedonia near the end of the war. On August 2nd 1944 Yugoslav Macedonia
(formerly Serbian occupied) officially became a state within Federal Yugoslavia.
The Macedonian people did their share of the fighting for the liberation of Yugoslavia
from the fascists and earned their place as equals among the Yugoslav people.
In January 1945 the battle of Srem took place
in north-west Serbia. Thousands of Macedonian partisans were sacrificed against
retreating Germans at the Srem Front during the last days of World War II. Metodija
Andonov-Chento, a non-communist partisan became Macedonia's first president in
1946 within Federal Yugoslavia. Metodija > Met > honey, Odi > goes.
Met-odi-ja > "flows like honey". (St Methodi, St Kiril's brother.
Odi > Odyssey > Odysseyus!) Metodija believed in a united, independent
Macedonia. His main political adversary at the time was Lazar Kolishevski, communist
party boss and a close confidante of Tito, then ruler of Yugoslavia. Chento wanted
the Macedonian partisans for the liberation of Aegean and Pirin Macedonia, then
under Greek and Bulgarian occupation. However, Tito's associates, including Kolishevski
pressured the Macedonian High Command into sending the troops to Srem.
Apologists for Tito and Kolishevski have
claimed that an armed uprising in Aegean and Pirin Macedonia was futile.
However, British government documents have revealed that wartime Prime Minister
Winston Churchill conceded to his foreign Secretary, Sir Anthony Eden that
if the Macedonian Partisans in 1944 were to take the Aegean region of Greece
no one would be able to stop them. (Chento Versus Kolishevski: Battle Over
History, By Sash Uzunov, Melbourne & Skopje, September 2003, Page 1).
Likewise, the Greek Partisans (with Macedonians
among their ranks) could have seized power in Greece. They held 75% of Greece
when the Germans evacuated Athens. The Greeks monarchists can thank their lucky
stars and their English/British buddies who intervened and saved them!
In May 1945 Russian (Slav) Soviet forces captured
the German capital Berlin. Throughout Germany Allied troops advanced and conquered
which ultimately led to the surrender of Nazi Germany. As mentioned, Modern Greek "history" was
written (fabricated) by 19th century German (British & French) so-called
Scholars, pointing out that Philip II of Macedon united the rest of the so-called "Greek
City-States". Going by this analogy I suppose Hitler too temporarily united
the rest of the European continent as well?
Germany was divided never to again threaten Europe!
Russian (Slav) Soviet controlled East Germany would become Communist and part
of the Soviet sphere of influence. On the other side of the Berlin Wall West
Germany would become a western style democracy taking its place in the newly
formed NATO military alliance and later the European Economic Community -EEC
(now the European Union). One wonders how the HELL(as) The Former Ottoman Province
of (what would "later" be known as "Greece") ever managed
to get into NATO and the European Union?! (though the people in this forum know
how and why!) Today, the Modern State of "Greece" would not even qualify!
(should be kicked out).
Even though the Ancient Macedonian people were
a unique and separate nation (proto-Slavic) their history presented to us always
places them together with the "heterogeneous" (predominantly Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic)
people of the Ancient City-States? There is no pro-Greek western text where the
Macedonian identity is treated separately from the Ancient City-State identities?
(I wonder why that is?!)
Also, the mainstream history which is taught to
our children today personifies the Ancient Macedonian people as a mere vehicle
that united the City-States and did nothing more than do their bidding in spreading
Hellenic culture throughout the Ancient world?!
In 1989 the winds of change swept throughout Eastern
Europe. Communism collapsed, the Berlin Wall came down and the two Germany's
were re-united as one. Perhaps Mr. Gruevski should've mentioned to his German
counterpart "What about Macedonian re-unification?"
Today, the "western powerhouses" are
building bridges with their former Communist and Slavic foes (whom speak variants
of the Macedonian language. The Orthodox Slavic nations use variants of the Cyrillic
alphabet. The Cyrillic alphabet itself is an updated version of the Ancient Macedonian
alphabet, which St Cyril (a Macedonian from Solun in the 9th century AD) designed
to counter the natural evolution of the Ancient Macedonian language!)
The Modern State of Greece (illegally holding
51% of Macedonia, together with its indigenous people) are looking like complete
fools not only with their own fake history, but with their "Hellenized" version
of Ancient Macedonian (proto-Slavic) History!
Perhaps Mr. Nikola Gruevski will mention all of
the above to his German counterpart Angela Merkel!

GENERATION) -Melbourne, Australia.
(Roughly paraphrase, this is what was written)
“The Australian government's decision to temporarily refer to Skopje (he means the Republic of Macedonia) as FYRoM and its citizens as "Slav Macedonians" until a solution between Greece and Skopje is reached, is a compromise reluctantly accepted by the Greek community of Australia in its efforts to meet the Skopje community of Australia half way. It is a compromise that should also have been accepted by the Skopje community of Australia. Instead their leaders are calling for protests and civil disobedience, and are threatening to take the decision to the High Court and the UN!?"
“The decision was necessary to distinguish between the "Greek-Macedonians" and people who come from Skopje that want to be known as 'Macedonians'."
“The Greek community of Australia is not against the Skopje community of Australia. The Skopjans have a right to their own language, culture, traditions and history. But they must not hijack Greece's history and culture, nor any other country's for that matter."

It’s as if a Skopjan is some sort of a locust or grass-hopper. I
can't remember the author of this particular article. It wouldn't at all
surprise me if the culprit was the one and only, comical, Vlach speaking, "Hellenized" non-Greek
Ilias Kamitsis.
Twelve or so years on, how things have changed!
The Republic of Macedonia has 119 or so recognitions under its constitutional
name (including Russia, China and the US). It is also a strong candidate for
EU and NATO membership.
It’s mainly the EU (due to the Greek intransigence)
that still refers to the Republic of Macedonia as FYRoM.

In 1988, around the time the Greek government
sensed that communism was on the verge of collapse throughout Eastern Europe,
began to unleash anti-Macedonian propaganda throughout the world.
Greek propaganda also came to Australia escalating
tensions between communities. There was a television program in Australia called
Vox Popoli (Peoples Voice), in which a debate was aired regarding Macedonian
- Greek issue. Here is what the Greek side said:
“The fact that the Australian government requested the name ‘Macedonia’ be dropped from an exhibition's title was offensive. We demand an inquiry as to who was behind the suggestion. It was offensive and it should not have taken place. We demand an apology." (Hmmm, what was offensive about it?)
“This is very offensive to Greece and the Greek-Macedonians (Hmmm, who are they?) Greece has no problems with Yugoslavia or Yugoslav Macedonia." (He meant the SRM-Y, Socialist Republic of Macedonia, which was part of the Yugoslav federation at the time.)
“The Slavo-Macedonians are trying to tell the whole world that they descend from the Ancient Macedonians. The only true descendants are the Greek-Macedonians because Alexander -The Great spread Greek culture and not Slavic!"
“They have a right to self identify,
as long as they are not encroaching on other people's culture and history,
which is unfortunately what they are doing now." (Up to now, who are
the ones that have been encroaching on whom?!)
This is what the Macedonians said:
“This label ‘Slav’ Macedonians find inappropriate. Just the same manner you don't call other Slav-speakers Slav-Russian, Slav-Polish, Slav-Serbs, etc, you should not be calling Macedonians with that label."

LANGUAGES: The Modern Version
How many Greek speakers are there in the
world? Twenty million maybe and more than half of them speak Greek either
under duress or for political reasons. Greek was kept alive via the Byzantine
liturgy and resurrected when a Greek state was created in the Balkans. For
all intents and purposes Greek was a dead language -- hence its use in scientific
terminology.
How many people speak one of the Slavic languages
-- three hundred million maybe? And how old do you think these languages are?
A hell of a lot older than three thousand years, that's for sure.

1051 was passed in 1917. Article 6 of the Law stipulated the establishment
of the formation and functioning of the town and village municipalities of
the "New Lands". The Commission on Toponyms in Greece presented
a choice of new place names in a circular letter on October 10, 1919. The
Ministry of Internal Affairs in Greece published a booklet by N. Politis
titled "Advise on the Change of the Names of Municipalities and Villages" (Athens
1920). At the same time in Aegean Macedonia [Greek occupied Macedonia], sub-commissions
were formed whose role was to suggest new names for the villages and towns.
Between 1918 and 1925 a total of 76 towns and
villages were renamed in Aegean Macedonia. It was not until the Legislative Orders
of 17.09.1926, 21.09.1926, 10.11.1927 and 13.11.1927 that the process of renaming
places was intensified. By the end of 1928 most places in Aegean Macedonia had
been given new names.
On November 21,1926 the government gazette "Efimeris
tis Kiverniseos" (Edition Number 322) announced new Greek names for all
Macedonian villages, towns, cities, regions, rivers and mountains.
The Hellenizing of the Macedonian Christian and
surnames was formalized by a legislative edict printed in the Greek government
gazette in February 1927.
Macedonian surnames commonly end in ov/ova, ev/eva
and ski/ska were changed to reflect a Greek character - "os", "es", "opoulos", "as", "iou",
etc.

Here's what happened back in 1925;
During this period of immense suffering, the Macedonian
people had a glimmer of hope that conditions might improve as a result of the
Treaty of Serves which Greece signed earlier in August 10 1920. According to
conditions of the Treaty, under Article’s 7, 8 and 9, the Greek government
was to undertake certain obligations regarding "the protection of the non-Greek
national minorities in Greece". These Articles specifically stated free
use of language and education. Initially Greece sought to neglect its obligations,
however in March 1925 the League of Nations directed Greece to fulfill its obligations.
By May 1925 an elementary school reader was published in the Macedonian language,
it was known as the ABECEDAR. The ABECEDAR was to be used by Macedonian children
in Macedonian schools which were yet to open in Aegean Macedonia. Strong reactions
immediately came from Serbia and Bulgaria. Serbia and Bulgaria were caught totally
by surprise, both were furious that the Abecedar was not printed in Serbian or
Bulgarian respectively. Serbia threatened to break its treaty of alliance with
Greece and to commence negotiations with Bulgaria for the division of Aegean
Macedonia. Threats came from the Bulgarians, protesting loudly that they had
previously signed an Accord with Greece which recognized the Macedonians as "Bulgarians".
What occurred next is truly a rare example, the Greek representative at the League
of Nations Vasilis Dendramis responded by defending the Macedonian language as
being "neither Bulgarian, nor Serbian but an independent language".
He listed various linguists and linguistic maps as evidence to support his claim
of the independence of the Macedonian language. This high ranking Greek official
representing the Greek state not only recognized the existence of the Macedonian
identity, but openly defended and supported it. However Serbian and Bulgarian
objections, together with internal opposition in Greece, prevented the Abecedar
from ever reaching the Macedonian children. The Abecedar was destroyed, but remains
as a reminder to the Greek government of the Macedonians as a separate national
entity.
Seems Athens forgot to clean those skeletons out of her closet.

MORE GREEK ATROCITIES COMMITTED AGAINST MACEDONIANS
Due to the compact nature of the indigenous
Macedonian people in Aegean Macedonia [Greek occupied Macedonia], the Greek
government did everything possible to change the Macedonian ethnic character
of Aegean Macedonia. The Greek authorities adopted a policy of forcing the
Macedonians to migrate, whilst colonizing Macedonia with new settlers from
Asia Minor and the Caucasus who were of a mixed ethnic stock and found themselves
under the influence of the Greek church. Macedonians commonly refer to these
people as "Medgiri", [or Prosfigi] denoting foreigners.
Macedonians were beaten by the Greek police for
speaking to one another in their native Macedonian language and were regularly
taken before the courts, imprisoned, and sent to barren Greek islands where they
underwent cruel physical and psychological torture.
The forced migration of Macedonians was temporarily
interrupted by the First World War (1914-18), however this was to prove favourable
for Greek plans on Aegean Macedonia. On November 27, 1919 the Treaty of Neuilly
was signed between Bulgaria and Greece. Greece, as a partner to the victorious
allied forces, was able to impose on defeated Bulgaria a condition in the Treaty
allowing for an exchange of populations between the two states. Greece took the
opportunity to unload itself of the Macedonians in a seemingly legal manner,
according to the Treaty the Macedonians were recognized as "Bulgarians".
This served the long term interests of both states.
Subsequently 66,180 Macedonians largely from Eastern
Aegean Macedonia but also from the districts of Kukush, Enidzhe Vardar and Solun
were forced to migrate to Bulgaria (they were not permitted to settle in the
Bulgarian occupied region of Macedonia). Bulgaria sent 22,000 Greeks, the Greek
government settled them in Aegean Macedonia.
In 1923 the Lausanne Agreement was signed between
triumphant Turkey and defeated Greece. The agreement stipulated a compulsory
exchange of populations. Greece expelled 394,108 Turkish Moslems to Turkey, this
figure included over 40,000 Macedonians of the Islamic faith who were uprooted
from their homeland. On the other hand Turkey transferred 1,221,849 Christian
Medgiri to Greece.
The Greek authorities strategically placed 538,595
of the newly arrived refugees into Aegean Macedonia to facilitate the denationalization
of the Macedonian people, attempting to modify the Macedonian ethnic character
of Aegean Macedonia.
Many Macedonians were evicted from their homes
and property in order to house the Medgiri. The refugees quickly adopted their
new Greek identity, they were given special privileges because of their new found
Greekness and they became an instrumental tool for the Greek state against the
Macedonians. With the support of the Greek government the Medgiri actively engaged
in the persecution (physical beatings, murder and rape) of the Macedonians. The
authorities disregarded the crimes committed by the Medgiri as they served "Greek
national interests". With the emigration of the Macedonians more housing
and land became available for the Medgiri.
The Medgiri also applied similar methods against
the Vlahs and Jews. It is interesting to note that those Medgiri which were settled
in the South of Greece found that they were not welcome by the Greeks and were
pressured to migrate to Aegean Macedonia.
Under the leadership of captain Stefanos a group
of Medgiri bandits brought great misery to the Macedonians in the Lerin region.
Numerous murders were committed in the villages of Surovichevo, Mokreni, Boreshnica
and Vrbeni. In the village of Popadija a group of men who served in the unit
of Ilo Dimov-Popdinski during the Ilinden rebellion of 1903 were chained to one
another and tortured in public. Similar tragedies befell many others. Macedonians
made up the bulk of the prison population for no other reason than for being
Macedonian.
From the village of P’pezhani, Tashko Popov,
Dimitar Popov-Skenderov and Todor Trpenov were beaten and sentenced to 12 years
prison. Pavle Mevchev and Atanas Popov from Vrbeni and Boreshnica joined them
in early 1927. They were soon after transferred to Kozhani and executed. As they
were leaving Lerin they were heard shouting "With our death, Macedonia will
not be lost. Our blood will run, but other Macedonians will rise from it".
Groups of Medgiri terrorists operated throughout
Aegean Macedonia. Incidents were reported in the European Press, including the
murder of 19 villagers from the villages of Trlis, Karachoy and Lovchen (Drama
region) who were bound and slaughtered on July 27 1924. The villages of Livadishte,
Butin and Chereshevo in the Drama area were also brutally attacked. Furthermore
during November 1925 there were mass arrests in Lerin and the surrounding region,
many innocent Macedonian civilians were tortured and executed.
Throughout the 1920’s the persecution of
the Macedonians escalated. Macedonian families were constantly terrorized, women
and young girls were raped, thousands were imprisoned, tortured and murdered.
Extremist ultra nationalist Greek organizations
unleashed a bloodthirsty reign of terror onto the Macedonian population. One
of these the "Greco-Macedonian Fist" issued the following order on
January 27 1926:
"We Order
1. Starting today it is forbidden to speak Bulgarian [Macedonian, Macedonians
in Greek occupied Macedonia did not speak Bulgarian] at public places, in
the cafes and restaurants, in doing business, at meetings, assemblies, and
gatherings, at parties, luncheons, weddings, etc.
2. We order the above mentioned only to speak in the Greek language.
3. We recommend to all authorities - the administrative and the military,
the civil servants and private employees, neither to accept nor to give information
in any other language but Greek.
4. Parents, teachers, priests and tutors of minors - we call upon you to
fulfill your patriotic duties; we shall hold you responsible for the offences
of your subordinates.
5. Whoever violates these orders will be considered a traitor of the fatherland
and shall be horribly punished by our organization which has been created
following a lengthy and thorough analysis of the situation and under the
slogan "The Fatherland Above All ". It has the power to punish
any who does not carry out its orders."
The aim of these ultra nationalist organizations
was to speed up the process of denationalization and assimilation of the Macedonian
people in Aegean Macedonia through pressure and terror. The alternative to assimilation
was migration.
Despite the pressure of assimilation under the
heavy bondage of Greek occupation, the Macedonians continued to preserve and
use their language, even though it was a criminal offence to do so.
Aimed at further reducing the Macedonians in Aegean
Macedonia, Greece and Bulgaria signed an Agreement known as the Mollov-Kafandaris
Accord in 1927. It stipulated an exchange of populations between the two states.
Approximately 100,000 Macedonians were expelled to Bulgaria, Greece wishing to "legalize" this
illegal act labeled the Macedonians as Bulgarians, and Bulgaria accepted them
for her own reasons. As a result of the Accord Macedonians were forcibly removed
from their homes. Their properties were confiscated by the state and given to
the colonizers, together with Macedonian owned cattle and stock. Various methods
were used to pressure the Macedonians to leave their properties.
In the village of Leskovo in the Sabotsko region
a militant Greek unit advised the villagers to leave the village within two days
otherwise they would all be slaughtered. Soon after official Greek government
representatives arrived and requested that the Macedonians sign a declaration
stating "voluntary emigration". Similar events occurred in the village
of Bytim in the Drama region where Greek military officials arrived together
with a group of Medgiri and violently attacked the Macedonians before they were
ordered to sign their "voluntary declaration of emigration". The expulsion
of the Macedonians from Aegean Macedonia was a part of the overall scheme to
speed up the process of Hellenizing Macedonia.

Distribution of leaflets is a serious crime in Greece
when it comes to Macedonia
The Case of Michael Papadakis and other People:
On December 10, 1992 Michael Papadakis, a 17 year
old, was arrested in downtown Athens, because he was giving away leaflets with
the following content: “Do not let yourselves be poisoned by nationalism.
Macedonia belongs to its own people. There is no pure race. We are all of combined
origin”.
Because he tried to “incite people to divide
between themselves” he was sentenced to one year in jail. The conviction
of Papadakis is one of the last displays of suppression towards the citizens
that oppose the chauvinistic policy of the Greek leaders against Macedonia.

Six people - Teodorus Pagomenos, Dionisis Gurnas, Rula Adamopulu, Stergios Giumakis, Anna Stal and Kostas Kutlos were convicted on January 27, 1992 because they attached posters on walls with the text: “Recognize Slavic Macedonia”.
In both cases mentioned the international
organization reckons declared that this was a breach of the freedom of expressing
and personal view, which contradicts Article 10 of the European Convention
for Protecting Human Rights, signed by Greece.

Macedonian Indigenous People’s Struggle For Independence Against Greek Colonists

"Macedonia" is the oldest surviving indigenous European nation by name, originating from 7000 BC. Today, they struggle for autonomy against Greek colonists.
Forced assimilation of indigenous Macedonia began in 1912, when Serbian and Greek rulers declared that henceforth there would be "only Serbs to the North and only Greeks to the South", and no Macedonians anywhere.
There was even an indigenous stolen generation in Greece. In the late 1940's and early 1950's, 28,000 Macedonian children were removed from their families and sent to Eastern Europe. This seems to be a common assimilation technique employed by colonists around the world (in Australia we know this all too well).
Macedonian aboriginal land was annexed then split up in 1913 and 1919, by Greece and its Balkan allies. Greece has claimed that Macedonia has been a part of the Greek state since 2000 BC. However, Macedonians contend that they have retained their nationality and indigenous claim to land, language and culture continuously since long before that.
They consider Greece to be a neighbouring state, rather than some sort of "mother country", and claim that Greece has always regarded them as aliens, labeling them "barbarians". Therefore, Greek claims that Macedonia has always been a part of Greece are false. In fact, quite the opposite is true - in the ancient world the Greeks were subjected to Macedonia for a time. The modern Greek annexation of Aegean Macedonia (which they now call "Northern Greece") is actually an illegal occupation under today's international law.
As with any colonized indigenous nation, the Macedonians have had their language tampered with and eradicated wherever possible. This can be seen particularly in the names of people and places renamed by the invaders. For example, "Kukush" is now called "Kilkis", and many Macedonian people's names have been changed to Greek ones. For significant periods last century, Macedonian native language was actually banned. Today it is still illegal for Macedonians to use their native names in official contexts.
Today, Macedonians are still fighting for native title and indigenous customary rights. Although the European Community admits that they fulfill the requirements, and 109 countries have recognized their status as a nation, Greece still refuses to officially recognize Macedonian nationhood.

NAMES, DOMAINS, GIFTS, PROTECTORS & GODS
If you have been reading the "Macedonian
Digest" by now you would know that "Macedon" (Makedon) is a "Slavic" term
which means "Mothers Domain".
Like the word "DON", "DAN" is
also a "place" (a Domain). However, in the Slavic language this would
be dependent on what particular "prefix" or "suffix" is used
on either words for them to make sense. Consider the following:
Makedonija > Make-don-ija > Make-Mother/s, Don-Domain. "Mothers
Domain". ("Don" is a suffix).
Dardania > Dar-dan-ia > Dar-Gift, Dan-Domain. "Gifted Domain".
("Dan" is a suffix). Dardania was to the north of Ancient Macedonia.
Danaians > This is what Homer calls the early, predominantly Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic
Mycenaean Colonists/Invaders of proto-slavic Troy in the Iliad.
"Danajtsi" > As per the recently deciphered Rosetta Stone of Ancient
Egypt, the Ancient Macedonians likewise called the "later", heterogeneous
people of the Ancient City-States -Danajtsi. The "Danajtsi" lived south
of Mt. Olympus.
Danaians/Danajtsi > Dan-a-ians/jtsi > Dan-Domain. Dan-a > the "a" changes
the meaning of the word to that of "a place/domain besides their (the
Ancient Macedonians) own". Dan-a-ians/jtsi (Danaians/Danajtsi) > "Neighbours" or
people living beside their (the Ancient Macedonians) own domain. ("Dan" is
a prefix).

Olympus (oly-mpus) sounds like Iliy's (The Sun God's) mountain. The god Zeus
(Zev/Ziv-life) supposedly lived there.

The (Modern) Macedonian word for "big" (great) is "Golemo".

"God is Great", "Iliy is Great", "Great is Iliy",

The Serbian word for "big" (great) is "Veliki". V-eli-ki > eli> li > Iliy.
In the so-called modern "Greek" language the word for "big" (great)
is "meghalo" from which is derived "Mega". Mega looks
to be of proto-Slavic foundations (from "Golemo"). The so-called
modern Greek language is actually a bastardized form of the Ancient International
Mediterranean Koine or "Common" Language. A language which was
heavily construed from indigenous proto-Slavic words.
The Sun God Iliy appears to be "greater" than
the god Zeus. Zeus > Zev > Ziv > Life is only a "part" product
of the "life giving Iliy". The Ancient Macedonians also perceived Iliy
to be in the form of a Lion on earth. Iliy > Ili-on > Lion.
The Romans referred to Zeus as Jupiter (Zeu-piter).
Notice how the biggest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, revolves around the "greater" Sun.
Aleksandar > Ale/Ile, San/Sonce/Sun, Dar/gift. (Gift of Iliy, the Sun
God). "Dar od Sonceto, gospod Ile"
Alexandros is merely a "later" adaptation and "Hellenized" version
of the indigenous proto-Slavic name Aleksandar. (And your telling me Aleksandar
-The Great was a so-called Greek?!) Aleksandar is not a Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic
name my friend! The Modern Macedonians, unlike the Modern Greeks, don't have
any Sub-Saharan/Afro-Asiatic yoke in their genes! MODERN GREEKS GIVE UP THE
NAMES MAKE-DON-IJA AND ALE-K-SAN-DAR! THEY ARE NOT YOURS! YOU WISH THEY WERE!
Russians are also a Slav people. In Macedonian "Rus" means "fair
haired". Consider the following: Oliver > Oli-Ver > Oli-Iliy,
Ver-belief. "Belief in Iliy". Oleg > Ole-g > Ole-Ile-Iliy.
Oleg > Ale-g> Ale-k. Aleksandar > is a common Russian name, also
used by Russian monarchs.
Dimitri > is a common Russian name. (also found etched in an Ancient Macedonian
shield recently found in the Republic of Macedonia) Dimitri was a King of
Ancient Macedonia, after Aleksandar -The Greats time.
Nikolai > is a very common Russian name. Nikola is also prominent in Macedonia
and Serbia.
Nik > Victory, ola/I > Iliy. "Victory with Iliy's blessing".

evil guys terrorize, goodbye to reason, claiming ethnic rights was high treason
in the Greek state, I defeat fakes, fascist dictators, General Metaxas was

500 years of Turkish glory. Vardar, Pirin and Aegean, peace to pagan Makedonija,
Macedonia for the Macedonians, Serbs try to manipulate our language, Bulgars

of sin, scholars and historians try to force the Victorians to change to
Slav instead of Macedonian ethnicity through their written simplicity taken

Long ago, in the days of Philip of Macedon, when
whole armies hurled themselves against the dread Macedonian phalanx, Macedonia
was a great and independent country. Today, Macedonia is merely a geographical
expression; its territories are divided principally between Yugoslavia and Greece.
If the country is nonexistent, the people are
not. They have managed, directly or indirectly, to make more Balkan blood flow
in the past 20 years than have any other people. Since the War, their activities
have shown no sign of abating. Greece and Yugoslavia and Bulgaria have been much
troubled by them.
Chief of the modern Macedonians who have demanded
autonomy have been Todor Alexandrov, General Protogerov, Peter Schankev. For
years, this triumvirate kept the Macedonian question well before the world. A
few months ago, Todor Alexandrov was murdered; and last week one Dimitri Stefanov
met Peter Schankev in a cafe at Milan, fired five shots from an automatic pistol
at him, killed him. The two deaths were connected by the tale which the assassin
told:
Peter Schankev decided last spring that Macedonian
autonomy was a dead issue, so he quitted the triumvirate to found a movement
for transforming the Balkans into a confederation. When Todor Alexandrov stood
in his way, the natural thing for him to do was to have Todor Alexandrov quietly
murdered; this was done. Immediately Alexandrov's friends called a meeting in
a Macedonian village with General Protogerov as chairman. At this meeting, sentence
of death was pronounced on Peter Schankev and his executioner went out into the
world on a search for his victim—a search which ended at Milan.
Arrested, the assassin said:
"I am a Macedonian Nationalist and I love

Zdravo Mr Stefov,
Thank you so much for sending me your wonderful Macedonian Digest!
I noted that my new in-depth Macedonian consciousness is now a little over a year old.
This also includes my time on the www.maknews.com/forum. It is a reality, however, that will be with me for the rest of my life.
Here are some of my thoughts, for now:
I believe that, because your culture was based on oral tradition, your language did not completely disappear. It changed, allot, as it evolved - just as any living language will, however, I believe that there are perfectly preserved Ancient Macedonian words that survive into Modern Macedonian today. Possible examples:
Eden à Macedonian word: Eden = the number one.
The mythology of our culture often carries words that have an ancient background to their sources and evolution. The 'Garden Of Eden' is a highly suggestive one. This is a concept that dates back to our Creationist myths, and therefore very old. The literal translation becomes:
The Garden of One à the One = God?
It may be argued that the word Eden has roots in Sanskrit, however, the notion that Eden was a devised concept to describe the God of Judaism and/or Christianity, is far more probable, than the possibility of an Eastern influence from Hinduism, which consists of a number of individual Gods called 'Devas'.
Nashi à Macedonian word: Nashi = our people.
It is my contention that Nashe, Nashi, Nashion are the original words and etymology, that influenced the formation of both the concept and the modern day word for 'Nation', as we know it today. The historical origin of this, involves Alexander The Great. He was the greatest leader and explorer in antiquity, to have left his mark in Western civilization. The word 'Nation' came from his actions which gave rise to the consciousness of the concept for forming nations. Words are always formed for a functional use, as well as a conceptual one. Revolutionary or unprecedented behaviour give rise to new perceptions, which expand human-consciousness and lead to new words or terms being coined. This is how our understanding of the world evolves. If the modern day Macedonian word 'nashi' is responsible for coining the word 'Nation', then its origins most definitely extend to a very distant part. It is thus very likely that the modern day word has an ancient word origin. If so, it would most likely be ancient Macedonian. This would provide evidence that Alexander The Great was indeed Macedonian and NOT Greek.

Hello there,
I read your article on Macedonia recently. I am a Greek man in my late twenties; I grew up in the prefecture of Macedonia, or what - I suppose - you would call, southern Macedonia. I am 100% in favour of any people on this earth being free to call themselves whichever name they want. If I were to call myself a Turk, Italian, or Slav, why the hell not? Ethnologically it's probably just as accurate a description (more about this later). I also realize that for younger and poorer states - and Greece isn't old either - a sense of a clear historical identity is vital.
This e-mail is to contribute in a minor way to your bewilderment as to why Greek people feel largely wronged with the naming of your state as Macedonia and why they sabotage its recognition:
Through their education, which is not poor mind you, Greek people (as most Western bloc people) believe the nation state to be a 19th century phenomenon as you point out so well, which makes its value a combination of ethnicity, culture (language being a big part of that) and geography. You understand why then, the Greeks who are ethnically mixed people, but an extremely proud bunch culturally, consider Macedonia to be a forgery: its people are Slavic, speak no Greek and just happen - through historical development - to occupy the same space as an ancient Greek tribe called the Macedonians. In short, your claim is as rational to the average Greek as a claim by a Japanese group of people who live in Peru and speak Japanese to be the new Incas. Furthermore, in the eyes of the less discerning modern Greek, Macedonia is indeed cut short at the border, and "the Slavs better go back to where they came from". But Nazi talk should not be taken too seriously, I hope, nor does it represent public opinion.
Surely, none of this is cause for conflict. In fact, if any compromise of historical accuracy can improve the relationships of people it is always welcome. But I must inform "the other side", that I am afraid that most people in my country are suspicious that an acceptance of a manufactured truth will only lead to territorial claims and further unpleasantness. In fact I feel that too, and an examination of Balkan history suggests that the fear is not irrational. It is in fact this fear of conflict which makes most people skeptical about the name of your country.
Perhaps a name closer to the Slavic identity of the people of your country would be something to be equally proud of, without the need to offend a neighbour's historical sensibilities. I think FYROM is ridiculous and disrespectful indeed - but what about a translation of the word Macedonia to Slavic? The word Makednoi (Macedonians) originally meant "tall people" (a bit of browsing will give more info that I ever could.)
Similarly, were you to adopt Philippos's tongue, (as a second language perhaps) you'd find that there would be no complaint ever again from the South pertaining to your Macedonian heritage or to your country being called Macedonia. We just like to respect our past, which I am sure you appreciate.
The very name Stefov has a Greek root and I see no danger in either of us accepting that, just as my genes are probably more Slavic than yours.
Only writing with the intention to help and let you know that there are no enemies here - as for the more fanatic talk of the few, I would pay no attention; the louder, the weaker.

I have read most of your articles at www.maknews.com. Your history is somewhat different from what I was taught. I am “Greek” (I think). I bet if you analyze me you will find genes from Mongols, Turks, Slavs (Macedonians whatever) and maybe Greek. You know the funny thing would be to analyze you and find that you are more related to ancient Athenians than I am. I was born in Kavala but I am not Macedonian. I know that my origins are from Pontus in Turkey, and eastern Thrace. I am so mixed up that perhaps I could start a new nation with my children. But I was wondering what makes you a direct or more closely related descendant to the ancient Macedonians. To be more precise, how come you kept your Purity, tell me the way please. I am thinking of moving to Thessaloniki [Solun] and start my nation, and I don’t want them to mix with other local or invading population (although, I am so ugly that even if I ever manage to make any children, it will be so difficult for them to attract any Greek Macedonian or Bulgarian companion, you are such a beautiful race).
Of course you know what Greeks believe about Macedonia, another amazing story there. To tell you the truth I am not a “good” Greek. No I am not referring to my genes. I refer to my habits (I don’t drink frappe, I don’t smoke, I don’t play tavli). And there is your proof. Neither did the ancient Macedonians.
I really hope you don’t come directly from Ancient Macedonians. Neither you nor the Greeks are good enough to continue the ancient advances. You people are miserable. I hope somehow some other race claims the Macedonian history. And trust me it will happen sooner or later. You should expect that if you look at our common history. WE are both thieves and liars to each others eyes.
I hope you can see behind my bad humor some reasonable problems with both histories.
And now a prophecy: You will convince the majority of the world that you truly are ancient Macedonians. And then go extinct by other tribes (lets say…. Albanians?.... or maybe my children’s nation)

Let me introduce myself, my name is Chris
S. and I am from the Northern part of Greece Kastoria. I just finished reading
your article and I must say you have really made a lot of things clear to
me and I thank you for that. As a student who is studying film I have found
the substance of my first Short documentary. I thought how typical of a Slav
to sit there and blab about how bad the Greeks are and how we have suppressed
you as Slavs and so on. Let me ask you this; If you call yourself MACEDONIAN
what are you Bulgarian Macedonian, Greek Macedonian Yugoslavia Macedonian
or Albanian Macedonian? Because I know I am Greek Macedonian. I think you
Might be a Slav. Let me get to the point; your article is filled with so
much B.S that I would love for you to come on radio and Television with me
and discuss your opinions. But then again you must be a “know-it-all” person
and you have no business with a young student because I probably know nothing.

A Bulgarian document dated 1900 was discovered
in Germany which is of immense importance for Macedonia.
According to Hans Lothar-Steppan, in December
1909 the German Ambassador to Serbia came across a document which he forwarded
to his Department of Foreign Affairs. The document, dated 1900, was a report
the Bulgarian Government had sent to their Bulgarian representative in Belgrade,
Serbia. The report detailed Serbian activities with regard to disseminating “stimulation
for division” information in the Serbian sphere on influence inside Macedonia.
In other words, the Bulgarians were concerned about Serbia’s approach to
informing the Macedonian people regarding the partitioning their country. In
part, the report reads as follows: “We have indisputable evidence from
events that have occurred in the last few years that a vast majority of the Christian
population in Macedonia will greet the division of Macedonia with hostility.
Their own desires are very simple, they want:
1. Guarantees for their personal security,
2. Private property rights,
3. The right of freedom so that they can live in peace and run their own
affairs in peace, and
4. Enjoy their rights as equal citizens of the Ottoman State in accordance
with international treaties and the laws of the Ottoman Empire.
Any attempt at division will cause great dissatisfaction
among the Macedonians which will not only bring diplomatically damaging repercussions
for us inside Macedonia but will disturb the entire peace in the Balkans and
may provoke conflicts that will spill over into Bulgaria as well as into Serbia.
A few years ago, when we posed the question of
division in our sphere of influence, we experienced protests and hostilities
from the Macedonian people. They adamantly fought against any division of Macedonia
and insisted that they did not want to be under anyone’s guardianship or
tutelage. The idea of self-determination in a separate state has become very
popular very quickly among the Macedonian people and any attempts for kinship
with other Balkan States will be met with resistance.”
This is a rare text which has preserved the idea
that the Macedonian people were not just simply victims of their aggressive neighbours
but hints that there was a certain negotiation between them. We are left with
the impression that the Macedonian people were simply the
object of imperial greed, victims of their Christian neighbours, a tragedy
of history, but seventy-eight years later, after their county was partitioned,
even as a small part of what they were, they again appear as Macedonians.
Every sentence in the above text expresses the Macedonian sentiment of the
time:
1. The hostility of the Macedonian people against any division,
2. The desire for self-determination under the name Macedonia was manifested
even before 1900,
3. Any attempts at dividing Macedonia would provoke the greatest dissatisfaction
and conflict,
4. No peace and stability for Bulgaria or Serbia, and
5. The refusal of Macedonians into any kind of kinship with any of the Balkan
States.
This document, without a doubt, is clear evidence
of Macedonian desire for
self- determination. NOTES of interest:
1. Even though it was well known to all the Balkan nations that the Macedonians
harboured desires for independence and had no desires to be annexed by Greece,
Bulgaria or Serbia, their Christian brothers the Greeks, Bulgarian and Serbians
took them from one servitude to another. It was their plan all along to liberate
them from the Ottomans and subjugate them, forcing them to vanish from history.
What is worse is that they almost succeeded were
it not for the “spirit of time” and that the world no longer lives
in “imperial times” but in times of human and minority rights. Unfortunately,
the same States who didn’t hesitate to partition Macedonia in the first
place still follow the Turkish Rules of deception which they learned very well
and to this day are practicing them on European Governments and World institutions.
Case and point: Greece is well versed with history yet it doesn’t hesitate
to play the role of a victim when it comes to the Macedonian question, accusing
the Macedonians of stealing their State, State name, and State symbols!
Even in the 21st century, the same actors, to
this day, still tell the same lies plotting and scheming against the Macedonians.
They do this with contempt for international law which demonstrates to the democratic
powers in the West, specifically the United Nations and the European Union of
how weak their executive power is, when it comes to enforcing western standards
and values. Isn’t it time they put an end to this?
2. People born from such a disadvantage feel tragically powerless; beaten
down by history and robbed of their quality and innocence. Imagine if this
Bulgarian document became available to the world not in 1909 but in 1900
when it was written and if the world knew the Macedonian
peoples’ desire for freedom and independence. Would the West, Europe
and Russia have reacted differently? Would the Illinden uprising of 1903
been supported and would it have succeeded?
Most certainly the Macedonian people would have
risen and regained their ethnic territory with its old ethnic borders in which
they lived for at least fourteen hundred years. The Macedonian question would
have been settled peacefully. The Balkan wars of 1912 and 1913 with all their
injustices would not have taken place and would not have provoked new
injustices. The Macedonian people would have achieved their total independence
much earlier and would not have had to wait until 1989/90 to achieve only
partial independence.
Unfortunately, this history cares not for rights
and laws much less for Justice. Bulgarians, Greeks and Albanians have written
history in their own nationalistic and egoistic interests, which is not right.
Only through Western Power intervention can the falsification of history be rectified
and the damage done be repaired.
3. The words, as they were written in the Bulgarian document in 1900, hold
true today as they did then and that is Macedonians want:
1. Guarantees for their personal security,
2. Private property rights,
3. The right of freedom so that they can live in peace and run their own
affairs in peace, and
4. Enjoy their rights as equal citizens in their own State in accordance
with international treaties and the world laws.
Macedonians of the early 20th century possessed
the wisdom to desire peace, not conquest, and to live free in their own homeland.
Today’s Macedonians, in the author’s opinion still want the same
things.
The Macedonians are the only people in the Balkans
who have learned their lessons from centuries of servitude to power-thirsty imperialists
and who have no intention of repeating 19th and 20th century practices in the
21st century. Should the Balkan experts wish to correct the problems in the Balkans
they must first start by righting the past wrongs. They must give the Macedonians
consideration for what they stand for and for their high moral qualities.
In response to the statement that Macedonians
hate the Moslems for the five-hundred years of Ottoman occupation, which some
believe ignited the war in Bosnia, Chris Voss writes, in his opinion this hate “is
present less in Macedonia because of the long tradition of ethnic tolerance and
because of the apparently lower ‘ecumenical identity’ than with Orthodox
neighbours
Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria.”
Macedonian tolerance was the same then as it is
now in the 21st century both inside and outside of the Republic of Macedonia.
As the old saying goes; even the best behaved man cannot live in peace if his
neighbour is evil.
So the real question is; should the European Union
continue to turn a blind eye to untruths and injustices or do something about
it to remove them?
